Hello, my name is Amaya and this is my story.
I grew up with my twin sister Ashley and our big brother Alex. Our mom suicided when we were 5 due to depression. She always made great lasagna and we always played Monopoly together, since it was the only game we had. It was our dads fault, because he abused, raped and treated her very bad, and sometimes, he would hit Ash or me too. But at least we had a dad who always took care of Alex. He didn't like me and Ashley very much, he believes that women are all stupid creatures, that don't have feelings or any rights. But luckily, Alex always tried to make me and ashley have a great life. He always took care of us, and im very grateful for that. I go to a school, where I have a big friend group. Next to the school im going to, is another school. My best friend Vivienne goes there. We often met up during breaks or after school.
It was the 25th November, when I came home to see my dad talking to Alex. They talked about my uncles wedding, who lives in another country and invited us. I was overjoyed, because I could take a few days off school and I would finally travel to another country. When I came to school the next day, I immediately told Vivienne about it. She knew how afraid I was of flights, but she always gives the best advices, so I had to ask her.:
Hi Vivi! Do you think I should fly to my uncles wedding? I'm afraid of flights tho, I might stay at home. I said.

Amaya hi!! You should definetly go. And if you wont go, who will take care of you? You know you can't stay alone at home. You know how often I fly across all around the world and nothing happened! I promise that we can stay in touch. She said.
She was right. She's only 12, but she already visited over 70 different countries, because her parents are wealthy and love to travel. She always brings me small gifts from every country she has been to, like sweets, bracelets or magnets. this made me more confident, so i decided to go.
Thank you so much Vivi. I dont know what I would do without you! I will send u tons of pictures, and i'll try to find a small gift for you!
I answered, and soon, I was at the airport. I stepped onto the plane, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness. It was my first time flying, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was extremely nervous during the flight, but seeing all of those tiny buildings from the airplane, made me feel like I was playing Monopoly. I found my seat and settled in, buckling my seatbelt and trying to ignore the butterflies in my stomach. As the plane began to taxi down the runway, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

But as we lifted off the ground and the plane began to climb higher and higher, my nerves kicked in. The turbulence was intense, and I felt like I was on a rollercoaster. My hands gripped the armrests tightly, and I couldn't help but wonder if we were going to crash.

But then, something amazing happened. As the plane climbed higher, we broke through the clouds, and suddenly, everything was calm and peaceful. The view from the window was breathtaking - fluffy white clouds as far as the eye could see, with the sun in the distance. The little houses looked like I was playing Monopoly.

For a moment, I forgot about my nerves and my worries. I was completely lost in the beauty of the moment. I took out my phone and snapped a photo, wanting to capture this moment forever.

As the flight continued, I found myself relaxing more and more. The flight attendants came around with snacks and drinks, and I even struck up a conversation with the person next to me.

Before I knew it, the pilot announced that we were beginning our descent. As the plane began to descend, I felt a sense of excitement wash over me. I was about to embark on a new adventure, and I couldn't wait to see what was in store.

As the plane touched down, I felt a rush of adrenaline. I had made it, and I was ready to take on whatever came my way. As I stepped off the plane and into the airport, I felt a sense of independence and confidence that I had never felt before.

Flying alone had been scary, but it had also been exhilarating. I couldn't wait to do it again. I never felt so excited in my whole life. When I arrived, it was 04:56 a.m., but Vivienne promised to stay up until I arrived, so I immediately texted her:
It was awesome!! Why have you never told me about how exciting it is to fly!?

She read my question and answered:
I told you! Enjoy the wedding!

We were going to stay here for 4 days. The first day, the 28th November took us to fly here, the second day would be just for walking around the city and enjoying the nature, the third day would be for the wedding and the fourth day, we would fly back. When we arrived at the hotel, I was still thinking about the flight. I was still afraid of flights, but the excited and scared feeling in my chest didnt let go, and I loved it. I was excited for the next days and fell asleep quickly. When I woke up I realised, that I was completely alone in the hotel room. Everyone left. I stood up to look at the time. 13:43. I seriously overslept half of the day I had here! I rushed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get my clothes on, so I could go take a walk in the city and finally see the ocean for the first time in my whole entire life! While brushing my teeth, I couldn't stop thinking about how the view from the plane looked like monopoly. I finally knew what I wanted to be when i'll grow up: a stewardess! I imagined myself in high heels, wearing the most beautiful make up and outfit, with the funny little hats. When i realised, that I was daydreaming for whole 20 minutes, I immediately ran to the kitchen to eat a toast and ran outside. It was 15:02, when I arrived at the ocean. It was cold, so I couldnt swim, but I could look at it. I looked at how it shimmered in the sun, how unique each rock at the beach is. For two hours I just sat there, listening to these beautiful noises the ocean made.

Out of nowhere, I heard a boo! from behind

Out of nowhere, I heard a boo! from behind. I turned around to see Alex. I was a little angry at them, because no one woke me up, and they just left.
I'm sorry we left you at the hotel, dad needed to rush to the supermarket to get a wedding gift. Alex explained.

We also need to go somewhere really quick, dad told you and ashley to wait in the hotel.
I wasn't mad at him, I wanted to ask, why they couldnt do it later, but I didn't want to start an argument. When Alex and dad told me and Ash to wait at the hotel, ash saw on Alex's Instagram story, where he posted a picture of my favourite meal! - lasagna. I haven't eaten it since my mom committed suicide. She made the best lasagna and i still remember it. When it was almost night, Alex and dad finally came home. Dad immediately went to sleep. Alex pulled out some leftover lasagna in a bag out of his backpack. Ash hugged him tight, but I just said:
Thank you.

Because I didn't like hugs. Excited for the next day, filled to the top with delicious lasagna, I went to bed and fell asleep quickly.
