Part 3 'work'

Haylie POV

I groaned as I heard a happy gasp from the other side of the book shelf.

"HAYLIE HAVE OU SEEN THE NEWS YET!?" Ellie screeched happily, same every time. 

"No, I've been sleeping." I whined as I buried my head in my pillow. 

"ELLIE STOP SCREAMING WERE ALL TRING TO SLEEP!" Astrid yelled from her floor. 

"But- never mind." She cut herself of, because everyone knew it was Phenix she was hyped about. What a simp. 

Time skip

The hype was now over and we were all awake and 'happily' having breakfast as a big happy family. Todays plans was simple and we were all doing sort of our own things today. Ellie was working in the hair salon, Nick, Markus and I we're going to my café and work and then Astrid will do work in her office. 

Just a normal day.

When we came to work at 7 am to open Cute coffee the sun had just rose above the smallest buildings. Unlocking the doors of the café I owned and making the café ready. 

After me and Markus got the café ready for the day we opened. Some people who was on their way to work or school started drooping in for coffee or something else, well mostly coffee. A few would stay and study or work, or just have a calm morning. 

At around 11 am the shop was almost empty, except for a few people. 

The door chimed and three people came in. They made their way up to the counter and ordered.

"Hello what can I get for you?" I said smiling while they looked at the menu.  

"Umm, large White Tea? And a cheese sandwich." The shortest out of the tree said. He was blonde, wore a red setter and had glasses. And he looked a lot like his friend Noel. 

"I'll have a medium Latte and a, umm, a croissant, how about you Carl?" A lady whit long orange hair, a green coat and fancy looking glasses said. Their friend Carl bit their lip and scanned the menu for something. 

"A large black tea, a croissant and a coffee whit two shots of espresso." This person was interesting, black tea and coffee whit two shots of espresso, but I'm not one to judge. This person had neck long dirty blonde hair, a black shirt, a tired and annoyed but interested expression and round glasses. 

"And that will be 18 dollars." I said and they paid and sat in a corner both talking about something, they looked to be in there early twenties so probably collage, work or something else. I thought about it while made their order. 

"Markus take these to the to the corner both." I said as the door chimed once again. The lunch rush was coming up in half an hour, so nick better come soon, so I can take my break. I saw a tall young man wearing a orange hoodie and a looked like he had to run to get here.

"What can I get for you." I said  wiping my hands.

"A medium cappuccino." He said "Oh and a cookie, Oh and remember the name Alex, I'll get it myself." This man was kind but his voice was weird in a way I couldn't tell.

"That will be 5.25 dollars." I said and got to work doing a cappuccino while he sat down at the same both as the other people, they probably know each other. And he left me a tip, even though I own this place I got happy. 

I finished the coffee and got a cookie and called out the name, he did actually come and get him self. 

The door once again chimed and I looked up to se my best friend, Lizzy and Nick. 

"Finally arrived I see." I greet them and Nick and switch places and as the best boss I am I decided to order something whit Lizzy. 

"Nick I'll be your first customer so could I get a hot chocolate and a croissant, Lizzy what would you want?" I said giving him a knowing face. We did this every day. When we switched for our break we ordered something from the other. 

"A small Late and a croissant please." She said and I payed leaving a small tip. We sat in one off the booth's in the back.

"So how has school been so far." I ask when we sit down.

"I really don't know. Normal I guess." Lizzy answered.

"You know Lizzy, I have always wondered why you like coffee. Your 14 for gods sake!" I asked wandering why I didn't already know why. 

"Wheel my sibling's like coffee so I do to." Lizzy answered like it was the most  obvious thing in the world. 

"Wheel hello ladies' here's your order." Markus said and placed it down on our table. 

Time skip to after the break

I went back behind the counter and continued to do my job. The lunch rush was now here. 

I took oddly many orders from hero's or hero's in training. And that was strong hero's like Nuke, Captain Fox, Rat-Man and Agent, really strong ones that went up against 'L. in Line' a really strong organization of the most powerful villains. 

At 1 pm the door once again chimed and I saw Astrid in her hero costume and now also known as Blue Bell. Her brown hair puled back in a ponytail, a dark blue turtleneck worn under a baby blue V-neck cardigan and a brown bark-like masquerade like mask whiteout eyeholes with blue flowers scattered across her that gave her strength. 

"Hello what can I get you." I said plastering a smile up on my face, clearly fake at this point, I was growing tired of all the hero's coming here. Just why, and why the strong ones like Nuke, Captain Fox, Agent and stars chief. 

"A to-go Latte and a to-go Mocha, both large." She said whit a worried face. 

"And that will be 6 dollars." I once more turned around to make even more to-go coffee for hero's. Blue Bell payed and even left a tip. 

"Just a question. Why are there so many hero's here today?" I asked while making coffee. (I do not know how to make coffee, bare with it) 

"Wheel you see, there have been many sights off Jester, Lie, Vector and Black Bird lately. And we hero's come here for two reasons, one because it's cheap and because this is the place where the most sighting has been." She explained. I recalled the memories from yesterday, the encounter with Jester. 

'Do I have anything to do whit this?' 

I finished the coffee's and gave them to Blue bell. 

Boredom took over and I let my eyes wander, there were vigilantes, normal people, a few hero's, people I knew from school and even villains in there civilian form I didn't notice. 

Wow! A long chapter
