It was surprisingly good weather for the small town of Jameson. Most of the time the weather was cold and freezing but it warm. In this place lived Andy Armstrong who was a 17 year old boy who was always fascinated with cars especially the older models such as the Mustang and Challenger. His parents were always arguing and he sometimes wondered how they can live with each other. He had a car of his own but it was his dad's old beat up car that didn't really work all the time. Like always he woke up to hear his parents arguing with each other and he sighed knowing that he couldn't do anything about it. He walked in the room of where is parents were and they didn't even notice him almost like he wasn't even there, like he never existed. He didn't even bother to speak as they would ether tell him to shut the hell up or would inore him.

“Hey Mom and Dad good morning.” Andy said as he walked by expecting to get the silent treatment as they both were arguing. But to his surprise his father turned his head towards him.

“Morning.” Was all he said to him. Andy almost stopped at his father's response. His father for the first time responded to him as he said something to him. He felt like he was about to say thanks until he heard his mother shout something to him.

“What did you say?” Andy asked her to which she almost smiled.

“You know he doesn't really mean that now do you.” She responded. What did she mean by 'he doesn't really mean that' and why did she smile? Was she proud that his father almost didn't ever care about him.

“What do you mean by that.” He asked her. He almost didn't even want to ask.

“You'll never learn.” She said finally as she turned and walked out of the room as to that his father without saying a word walked off into another room. Well this was a new way to start a day with his parents saying something other that shut the hell up. He sighed knowing that he was in for a long day as that today was his last and final day of school before college or something like that. Not that he wanted to go to college but if he did his parents still wouldn't pay attention to him. But he didn't even pay attention to them anymore either as well.
