A thousand years ago, before the dawn of the golden era, a comet appeared in the Chola sky. Emperor Sundara Chozhar, who ruled in Thanjavur, had three sons and a daughter.

The Gods had favored him and had given him twins. His two eldest sons, the crown prince, Aditha Karikalan, and Arjun Karikalan the Majestic, defeated the Pandyas on the Sevur battlefield, beheading their King Veera Pandiyan.

To avenge their king's death, Pandyan assassins infiltrated the Chola kingdom, vowing to destroy the Chola dynasty. The younger prince, Arunmozhi Varman, alongside Arjun Karikalan had arrived in Lanka with their vast fleet to win that land.

Meanwhile, the tempestuous Aditha Karikalan was leading an army to the north to conquer the Rashtrakutas. While his father, the Emperor, lay ailing in Thanjavur. The Emperor and his three sons were in mortal danger. In the sky, the comet was baying for royal Chola blood...

In Rashtrakuta Nadu...

There Aditha Karikalan was, perched on top of his majestic white horse, killing the enemies as needed. Blood flew onto his face as he moved from enemy to enemy. As he slayed each one he came across, one of his soldiers yelled out for help.

Solider: " My Prince!"

The crown prince ran to aid the soldier while slicing through enemies with his sword. With his back turned, two soldiers ran towards him with their swords raised only to be killed by a man and a woman.

Vallavaraiyan Vanthiyathevan/Devika Vanthiyathevan: " My Prince!"

Aditha turned around and a rare smile formed on his face when he found the source. Side by side, stood the Vanthiyathevan brother and sister, his closest friends. Meanwhile, as the fight continued, a soldier shouted.

Soldier: " Fireballs!"

Enemy: " The armoury is behind the east wall. Destroy it!"

Enemy soldiers climbed up rope ladders only to be met with more Chola soldiers and the Rashtrakuta king stormed into the castle, sword in hand.

Vallavaraiyan and Devika were pushed off their horses and landed with a grunt. The two of them stood up quickly, backs pressed against each other, protecting each other.

Aditha quickly ran to their aid, filled with rage as he stood by them and killed the men that had attempted to attack his friends.

The battle continued with an equal amount of deaths on each side. The sound of clashing swords and battle cries filled the air, as the soldiers fought with fierce determination. The ground shook beneath their feet as they clashed in a brutal struggle for victory.

Each side pushed forward, hoping to gain the upper hand and turn the tide of the battle in their favour. But as the battle drew to a close, the Rashtrakutas eventually lost this battle.

Aditha rod to the gates with the remaining soldiers behind them as the gates opened.

Aidtha: " Victory! Victory is ours!"

Vallavaraiyan, Devika, and many other soldiers raised the Chola Flag with prideful joy plastered all over their faces.

All: " Victory is ours! Victory is ours! Hail to Prince Aditha Karikalan! Hail to Prince Aditha Karikalan!"

Meanwhile, the soldiers gathered the Rashtrakuta king and their remaining soldiers and tied them before bringing them in front of Aditha.

Malayaman: " Prince, the king of the Rashtrakutas, King Khottiga lies at your feet."
