3 Years Before the Incident

"Ortho! Idia!"

"a-ah [Nicanomi], h-hello."
"AH! BIG SIS [Nicanomi]! YOU'RE HERE!"

"YEP! and guess what, my dad brought me the new limited edition ultra deluxe Chess 2!"

"WHAT!! NO WAY! THEY HAVEN'T EVEN SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A NEW GAME! Even if they did I would have known?!'
"So how did you get it then???"

"Weeellllll because my dad actually made it!*hmph*"

"No way... you're dad made it??? Are you saying he made the first one as well then???
"WAAHHH REALLY [Nicanomi]! that's so cool! Nii-san [Nicanomi]'s dad is so cool!!

"Yep! And thank you Ortho!"

"Nii-san! can we play? I want to try it out!"

"wait ortho we have to ask [Nicanomi] if we can."

"Sure you can. That's why I brought it with me—besides Dad said I can play it with you guys since he trusts you guys to not break it and all. Sooo what are we waiting for let's go play!

"YEAH!"
"YAY!!"

"Hmmm... yeah what's up?"

"Big sister [Nicanomi] hasn't come yet? I'm getting worried.."

|||---The older one of the 2 checks the clock situated on the right side of his desk. The time reads 1:34 pm ---|||

"...ohh you're right. Wonder what's taking them so long ?"

"Do you think something happened to them? It's not like them to be late..."

"... maybe they're just late this time. If you want we can go ask Mum and Dad about it later."

"Thank you nii-san"

"No problem Ortho. Now then just need to connect these together and -"

|||---The small machine that Idia was tempering with short-circuited, causing it to make a small sound-a sign of it destroying itself- and a puff of smoke to appear. This caused a groan to escape Idia's mouth.---|||

"Ahh, nii-san are you alright?! Are you hurt?"

|||---Idia said nothing, opting to once again release a groan that signified his annoyance at the issue.---|||

"No ortho I'm alright. just.. a little setback... hey how about we play this new game I just got. It's called SURVIVAL OF THE EXTRA!"

"Survival of the extra? what's that about?"

"Well, dear brother of mine this game is all about avoiding the main characters that act as red flags in the game. their job is to try and involve our character into joining their world and lead us to our inevitable doom. But here's the twist. The game's timeline is affected by our choices in real life."
