We finally landed and now its sweet home California. "We're back baby" my dad says to my mom. I could smell the nice California air. "Let's go to the car dealers and get ourselves 3 new cars!" My mom said excitedly. "3?" "Yup, your mom and I have been thinking about it and since you already have your license we'll just buy you a car now. We think you've waited long enough and now you don't have to use mine or moms" "Thank you guys so much" I say as I hug my parents.
My parents and I each got into our separate cars and drove home. When I got to our new house I made a batch of cookies and asked my mom if I could give them to kian next door to surprise him of my return. I walked out the door and went next door to his house. As I ring the doorbell I hear voices "Kian get the door" it sounded like his mother but then I heard another girls voice "Don't worry babe I'm right behind you" and I hear her laugh. I then hear Kian say "Who is it?" As he then opens the door
My heart was racing. I was scared, nervous, happy, but I was also sad because once I saw Kian standing hand-in-hand with the girl I heard earlier it broke my heart. "Jackiline?!" I hear him say as he drops his hand from holding the girls hand and hugs me."Hey Kiki" I say sheepishly.
"Mom! Guess who's back from the dead" "what do you mean sweetie?" His mom says as she walks to the door. I notice that his girlfriend was starring at me and giving me a cold look. I'm guessing because kian gave me a hug. I'm also guessing kian noticed her devil stare because next thing he said was "oh yeah, Jackie this is my girlfriend Lily"
The second I heard the word girlfriend it felt like a hundred bullets being shot at my heart. I figured as much that he'd have a girlfriend but I was hoping he wouldn't.
"I hope you guys can be good friends" he says to us. I look back at her and I see her cold look and I say "well you know what they say, hope can breed eternal misery" and then I say "anyways i would love to stay, but I need to help unpack. I'll see you tomorrow kiki. Oh and tell your mom my family says hi"
As I walk to my house with tears in my eyes I tell my mom I'm jet lagged and want to go to sleep. As soon as I get to my room I start to crying.
