Hannibal sat inside Bedelias office staring out into the distance as Bedelia observed him with a amused look in her eyes

" For the first time in a long while I see a possibility of friendship. " hannibal said remembering Tobias

"Is there someone new in your life?" Bedelia asked

"I met a man much like myself.....same hobbies, same world views. But I'm not interested in being his friend. I'm curious about him and that got me curious about friendship." Hannibal confessed

"Whose friendship are you considering?" She asked looking more interested.

"A colleague and a patient.We've discussed him before. "

"Will Graham." She said

Hannibal felt like they were a couple of teenage girls whispering and gossiping
"He's nothing like me. We see the world in different ways, yet he can assume my point of view."

"How has he demonstrated that? " Bedelia asked intrigued

Hannibal wondered those words. His memory flooded with Wills skills . His art in observing the un seen.

"He's demonstrated potentiality. It is good demonstration as any. I find it....... reassuring"

"It's nice to have someone see us, Hannibal. Or have the ability to see us. It requires trust. Trust isn't easy for you. " Bedelia whispered

Yes . Trust wasnt easy for hannibal. It never was.

Did he trust Will?
Yes he trsuts Wil will return to him again and again as Hannibal wa shis paddle in the sea of madness.

"You've helped me to better understand what I want in a friendship. And what I don't. " hannibal concluded.

He would be lying if he said he didn't feel guilty about leading Will to the cave of the lion. But he now believes that his Willium will rise from the ashes.

Tobais will try to take away one friend he knows belongs to Hannibal.
But his boy will become victorious.

He will rise from the ashes of Tobias.

"You spend a lot of time building walls, Hannibal.It's natural to want to see if anyone is clever enough to climb over them. " bedelia said

Hannibal could only grin.

Tobais was trying to climb over them.

Hannibal had Willingly flung open the door for Will.

Hannibal stared mindlesslyas the police and detective swarmed his office.

What had he done.

Hannibal asked himself in agony.

He had sended his Willium in the lions mouth ............his Willium didnt return.

Instead the beast came to him.

The beast had killed his Willium ........and he let him do it.

In his agony Hannibal snapped Franklyns neck knowing how much Tobias had wanted to do so.

In his rage and grief all he could think was revenge for his beloved .

It was a quick but skillful fight between Hannibal and Tobias.

Now after the fight. The bodies of Tobias and Franklyn laid on his office ground.

He was victorious but all he could feel was loss . Loss of one thing he had come to cherish.

Hannibal had been a fool. He didn't protect his beloved Will and now his beloved was in the house of Hades.

Never again will he feel the younger man's blue eyes on him . Never again will anyone echo the voices in his head with as much melody as Willium.
Never again will ge feel the younger man's attention and admiration.

He had done this. His pride had caused him to fall but the worst was his fall caused the death of Willium.

Abigail had lost his surrogate father too.

How will ge face her? How will he face his life again without Will.

Hannibal swallowed in the sea of regreat and self pity when he saw Jack Crawford enter his office...........and after a few beat so did Will Graham.

Hannibals whole body eased up as he saw Will. The fog in his mind was lifted by the blinding light that Will had seemed to bring with him.

'He is alive. He is still here. '

It took Hannibal great self control not to run towards the younger man and hold him in his arms.

But the happiness and releuf was visible in his eyes.

"Mr. Budge said he was questioned by the FBI and he murdered two men. I.......... was worried you were dead." hannibal whispered his voice raw with overwhelming emotion as Will walked towards him ..........studying him.

"Tobias Budge kills two Police Officers, nearly kills an FBI Agent, and after all that his first stop is your office." Jack asked suspicious as hannibal wished the man would disappear.

"He came to kill my patient. " hannibal replied

"Hannibal's patient told him he suspected a friend was involved with the murder. Hannibal told me and I investigated. I got him involved. Your patient. Is that who Tobias Budge was serenading? " Will asked quickly jumping at Hannibals defence

'I don't know. Franklyn knew more than he was telling me. He told Mr. Budge he didn't have to kill anymore. Then he broke Franklyn's neck. Then he attacked me." Hannibal lied his eyes never leaving Jack.

"And you killed him." Jack asked

" Yes. "

"Could your patient've been involved with any of what Budge was doing "

"I thought this was a simple matter of poor choice in friends. "

Jack nodded as he walked off to study the crime scene .Will sat down beside him .

The solid body and the breath he was taking concluded to Hannibal that his Willium was here with him. He wasnt hallucination.

Will took a gauze from a med-kit and dabbed Hannibal's bloody forehead.

"I feel like I've dragged you into my world. " Will whispered

"I got here on my own. But I appreciate the company. " hannibal whispered back leaning into his touch.

The world around them forgotten as the pair quitley took care of each other.
