'What is all this?!' I shouted.

'None of your business,' he spat, 'what were you doing snooping through my phone anyway?'

'As if that is important, plus I should be able to trust you!' I roared and he seemed to shrink away from my harsh words. 'I can see you're obviously already bored of me' 'And that would be why I didn't hear much about your 'business meeting' last week, how many mistresses can you possibly have?!' 'Here I am sitting at home waiting for you, with the terrible news that we can't have kids, while you were probably running around with some woman.' The words spilled out before my mind could even catch up, and I immediately clapped my hand over my mouth.

'Wait what' he almost whispered, guilt was clear as day on his face, he visibly shrunk and he started to back away from me. 'I...I'm sorry for having you find out this way,' I stuttered, the words struggling to get out, 'I was going to tell you last night, but...but' tears started brimming in my eyes and I wished the floor would swallow me whole, just so I wouldn't have to face the conversation I knew was coming. I turned around and walked quickly towards the bedroom. When the heavy footsteps I was sure would follow me didn't, I grabbed my phone from where it was charging beside my bed, and pulled back my hair into the messiest bun and sat on the bed, wondering where I could go for a while. Obviously not my mother's house, she'll expect me in my Sunday best and I really am not feeling up to pasting a smile on my face for her.

When I walked out of the bedroom cautiously, and glanced around the living room looking for David, I couldn't seem to find him anywhere. I grabbed my car keys and sat in the car for a few minutes, trying to process the terrible thoughts clouding my mind. I finally started the car and drove the route I knew all too well. I pulled into the parking lot of the library and walked through the doors instantly feeling a little relaxed. I made my way to my favourite reading corner and plopped down on the comfy leather sofa.
