You screamed through the tape as he stroked your hair. He softly touched your cheek but you refused to let yourself relax. Angry, fearful, resentful tears dripped down your face. You gave up and went silent as he patted the small wooden chair behind him. "Sit." He said. His masculine voice made you shake. You were unresponsive. "Sit!" He demanded. You obliged. Tears streamed down your cheeks. "Speak." He said. You jerked your head away from his touch. "Brooklyn, why do you do this, my love?" You refuse to speak to this man. He treats you so gently, but so roughly. You refuse to let yourself speak. To fall In love. To trust him. "Answer me!" He screamed until it dawned on him, he hasn't removed the tape. He ever so slightly looked disappointed in a loving way, like he expected more from you.

"Mandy!" And the silent little cat ran up.
"Dasher!" And the poor abused dog ran up."Melvin..?" But it seemed you'd lost your companion like you'd lost his brother to the fire. The fireplace. On purpose.
