Ch.1- Am I a fool

Kyla hide! Just like we practiced okay?

I ran to the family room and lifted the rug. I heard someone break down the door. I had to hurry, I grabbed the latch and swung the door open, I jumped in and closed it.

I overheard my mother telling the scary men to go away. Please! There's no one else hear I swear! My mom always said I should hide when they came around or else I'd get hurt. But they were yelling at my mom.. I wanted to do something about it.

Suddenly, everything went quiet. I waited until my mother gave me the signal to come out.. I didn't hear anything though.

Then the bell rang! I climbed out of the bunker, and looked around. My mom was laid out on the floor, I ran towards her and checked for a pulse.

She's alive! Then I felt hands grab my shoulders and yanked me away. No matter how loud I shouted no one helped me, all neighbors came out and just.

Watched.

The people who I thought would be the first to stand up for me. They've known me since, birth.

That happened at the age of 8. Now you may or may not ask what happened to me after that, well ,I'm a enslaved prisoner. With no possible way of getting out.

Electrical fences. Mines. Guards. Watch towers.

They even have killer animals in the dungeon.

Because we could communicate with other halls through the vents. Some other girls taught me this. Since I was new and so I would be acquainted with the others.

Intercom: Get your medicine.

The guards swiped there key card I knew that because it always made a beep once it happened. Also when they come in they'd always put it back onto there waist.

"Lets go now." Everyone got up and got in line. I always thought it was funny that no one tried to get out. But I did know that everyone was too scared, they never told me why though. We weren't allowed to smile, they said it gave us too many wrinkles and made us ugly.

We couldn't cry, or show any signs of anger. Basically we couldn't show any emotions. I learned that within a couple of weeks since I got there. The little girl came in just then and would yell and cry.

She never came back afterwards.

As we all walked into the long hall with white walls and marble floors. We came to a stopping point. Infront of the sink were a table sat beside it. Holding the pills in side a small cup.
