"Hey," Lisa said, walking up to Chaeyoung who staring intently at her computer. "What are you doing?"
Lisa took a peek at the screen. It was a thumbnail from their most recent Vlive where they introduced Lisa's new kitten Luca.
"Aw, we look like a couple with a new baby," Lisa exclaimed.
It was super cute Lisa thought. Chaeyoung was hugging her from behind as she held Luca in her arms, and they were both looking at him adoringly. She didn't know why it would cause a stressed expression on Chaeyoung's face though.
"What?" Lisa asked.
"Nothing. It's just these comments... Half the internet thinks we're dating."
"You're seriously reading the comments?" Lisa scoffed. "But anyways, so? Half the internet thinks I'm dating Jennie and Jisoo too. I guess I'm just that irresistible." She waggled her eyebrows suggestively.
"Can't you be serious for one second?"
Lisa was thrown Chaeyoung's curt reply. "Hey the point is, it doesn't matter what they think, Rosie. I thought you knew that."
"Lisa... The hugs, the cheek kisses, the hand holding..." Chaeyoung began uncomfortably. "Is it all for them?"
Now Lisa was really confused. "What are you talking about?"
Chaeyoung looked away. "Never mind. It's stupid."
"No, what?" Lisa pressed.
"Why me?" Chaeyoung asked in a small voice.
"What do you mean?"
"Why are you always like that with me?"
Lisa took a second and thought about it, furrowing her eyebrows a bit. She never considered herself a person who was good with their words, preferring to show the way she felt instead of saying it. With Chaeyoung, touching her, hugging her, holding her hand... It came so naturally that often times, Lisa wasn't even aware she was doing it.
It was like her fingertips were magnetized to her skin, she couldn't help it. Chaeyoung always smelled so good when she hugged her, a sweet scent from the fruity-floral fragrances she liked wearing. Being close to her, reminded Lisa of the times when all they had was each other on those lonely days off. It was comfort and safety.
"Cause you're my best friend," Lisa eventually said.
Even though it was the truth, from the look on Chaeyoung's face Lisa felt like she had said the wrong thing.
Lisa huffed. "Seriously, what is up with you today?"
"Nothing," Chaeyoung said, shrugging it off. "It's just..."
"Just what?"
"You don't like me like that right?"
Lisa was caught off guard. "No," she sputtered with an awkward forced laugh. "You're my twin. Like my twin sister."
Chaeyoung looked up at Lisa with her deep dark eyes with a wistful expression as if she wanted Lisa to say more.
"Yeah... You're right. I shouldn't read the comments," Chaeyoung said when Lisa didn't say anything else.
"And if it makes you uncomfortable I can tone it down a bit..." Lisa offered. "But I don't think we need to act any differently, like who cares what they think. You're best friend. Of course I'm going to hug you and stuff."
"Yeah, we're close that's all."
"Yeah..." Lisa said quietly, feeling an odd twist in her chest of... something when said it.
