~Song: Sweet Creature

Joanne parked the car in front of a large house that overlooked the ocean.

I could feel my mouth hanging open at its size and quickly shut it.

Who ever these people were they were way richer than anyone I'd ever hung out with in my entire life.

"Well, we are home!" Joanne said enthusiastically while opening the car door.

I did the same thing, stepping out and grabbing my bags.

I brushed my messy head of brown hair back from my eyes and an continued to stare at the house.

Joanne smiled at me politely and began walking inside.

"Nora should be home from work by now." She explained as we got closer to the front door.

I felt slightly awkward the closer to the door we got. What if I was underdressed? I didn't pack any better clothes.

But as Joanne opened the door I was met with the everyday chaos of a normal family.

Amongst the open floor living and dining room Mr. Baker was playing tug of War with a large dog, beach Boys was playing loudly in the background.

And Nora was setting the table, I did a double take as I stared at her.

She was tan, tanner than her mother. With waving brown hair that flowed nicely down her back.

She was only wearing bikini bottoms and a cropped billabong shirt.

She smiled politely at me as I walked into the kitchen.

"Finn, this is Nora." Joanne said, and Nora gave a small wave.

"Hi" I said with my voice very breathy.

God, if all of the girls in Ocean Bay looked like this I would have to raise my standards.

"Hi Finn!" The dad exclaimed dropping the rope he was using to play tug of war to say hi to me.

He walked over and shook my hand.

"I'm Mike" he said his smile was one with pearl white teeth.

He, unlike Nora, looked rich. Though he was only wearing a Hawaiian shirt and board shorts, one could just tell.

"We are having chicken for dinner I hope that's ok." Mike stated and I nodded my head

"Yeah thats fine." I said

Something in this moment told me I had to be a good kid, dispite my pervious statements, these parents seemed like they had high standards. It was obvious they were known in the community.

I look over at Nora who had barely said a word to me. She moved past the table towards the living room part of the house. She bent down and picked up the abandoned dog toy before putting it back in the basket.
