Ava had been feeling a bit nervous and out of place at the party, but after a few drinks, she felt more at ease. She looked around the crowded room, taking in the flashing cameras and the sea of faces. Her eyes landed on Tom, who looked equally overwhelmed by the attention.
Without thinking, Ava made her way through the throngs of people, determined to reach Tom. She felt a sense of urgency, as if she needed to rescue him from the chaos of the party. When she finally reached him, she grabbed his hand and pulled him aside.
Tom was surprised by the sudden contact, but he was also intrigued by the girl who had taken hold of his hand. He looked into her eyes and saw a sense of determination and kindness that drew him in.
As Ava led him towards the end of the party, Tom felt a sense of relief. He was grateful to have someone to guide him through the crowd, and he was excited to see where this unexpected encounter would lead.
When they reached a quieter area of the party, Ava turned to Tom and asked him if he wanted to do karaoke with her. Tom hesitated at first, unsure of his singing abilities. But as he looked into Ava's eyes, he saw a sense of joy and excitement that was infectious.
He decided to take a chance and join her. He grabbed the guitar and plugged it in, feeling a sense of anticipation building within him. Ava plugged in the microphone, and Ella rushed to the karaoke machine to play "Monsoon".
As they began to sing together, Tom felt a sense of freedom and release. He let go of his fears and insecurities, and allowed himself to be swept away by the music. Ava's voice blended perfectly with his, and he felt a sense of harmony and connection that he had never experienced before.
The song came to an end, and the crowd erupted into a deafening applause. Tom and Ava looked at each other, their eyes shining with excitement and joy. However, Ava's smile quickly faded as she caught sight of her boyfriend Chris at the party with another girl. She turned off the microphone and laid it down gently, her gaze fixed on Chris. Tom was confused but decided to follow Ava to see what was going on. They walked through the crowd, and Ava's eyes never left Chris and the girl. Finally, they reached Chris, and Ava demanded to know who the girl was. "Ava, I didn't know you were this far out of town," Chris stuttered. "Well, yeah, I went to Bill's concert," Ava argued, her voice rising. Tom couldn't help but feel jealous that Ava had gone to Bill's Name instead of his.
Chris's mistress seemed to be enjoying the drama, and she was clearly trying to make things worse for Ava. But when Tom gave her a sharp glare, she fell silent. Ava couldn't help but glance over at the girl, but she quickly looked away.
Suddenly, Chris lunged forward, trying to shove Ava's shoulder. But Tom was quick to react, stepping in front of her and taking the brunt of the shove. Ava was grateful for his protection, but she couldn't help feeling scared and vulnerable.
Tom suggested that he and Chris go outside for a chat, and Ava was left alone with her thoughts. She wondered if she should follow them outside, but she didn't want to make things worse. Instead, she sat down on the couch and tried to calm herself down.
As Tom and Chris made their way outside, the air was thick with tension. Every step they took was heavy with the weight of their anger and frustration. Tom's fingers were placed gently on Chris's back, but it was clear that he was guiding him with a firm hand. Chris was still fuming, his face red with rage, and Ava could see the anger in his eyes from where she stood, peering through the window. She could feel her own tears welling up, but she tried to hold them back.
Tom's voice cut through the tension like a knife. "Want to explain anything?" he asked, his voice sharp and firm. Chris didn't hesitate. "She's into you more than she has ever loved me," he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "What else was I supposed to do? She made our relationship toxic." Tom clenched his fists, his thumb pressing hard against his eyebrow. He stood with one foot behind the other, ready to defend himself if necessary. Chris knew what was going on, and he knew he could easily beat Tom in a fight.
Tom was a skilled fighter, having trained in martial arts for years. He stood confidently in his fighting stance, his muscles tense and his mind sharp. Across from him, Chris seemed less prepared. He was fidgeting and adjusting his stance, clearly unsure of himself. Tom assumed that Chris was inexperienced and didn't know how to fight.
To give Chris a chance, Tom purposefully lowered his hands, allowing Chris to take the first hit. "Any day cupcakes," Tom taunted, hoping to goad Chris into action. Chris, who was feeling a mix of anger and embarrassment due to Tom's taunting, threw a punch at Tom's eyebrow. The blow landed hard, causing Tom's eyebrow to split open and bleed.
Tom admired Chris's effort but wasn't fazed by the hit. He quickly got back into his fighting stance and hooked Chris with his elbow, hitting him straight in the forehead and causing it to slice open as well. Tom didn't stop there. He landed another hit aimed at his chest making him groan and fall to the ground.
Ava was sitting on the couch, gazing out of the window when her attention was caught by two boys playing outside. As she watched them, she suddenly noticed Chris hit Tom forcefully and without any provocation. Instantly, Ava sprang up from the couch and dashed towards the front door.
By the time she stepped outside, she saw Chris lying on the floor with a red welt forming on his cheek. In the background, Ava noticed a group of paparazzi clicking away, capturing the scene on camera. Tom, who had lifted his foot and hovered it above Chris's head, gently tapped it twice as if it was a dog patting its head before turning around.
As Tom turned, he caught sight of Ava running towards him. At that moment, he expected Ava to be furious with him because of his previous exploits with other women. However, he was pleasantly surprised as Ava rushed towards him and opened her arms for a tight embrace. Ava hugged Tom as hard as she could.
Bill and Ella ran out the door and soon followed Georg and Gustav.
