After the announcement of their return to their bed chamber, Aaron took his wife out of the hall where people were still dancing and enjoying he time of their time. Mingling, with every other person.Aaron glanced behind him, he knew that it was customary to have an entourage but a crowd was behind him and his wife, there was no privacy whatsoever. He hated that, he stooped and turned to supervisor Li.
"Li," he called, "your majesty," Li answered, "from now on, I want only two guards with me at all times, this entourage is unnecessary."
Li frowned, "Your majesty, this is the way of the ancestor, are you forfeiting tradition?" he asked, glancing that the guards and makes that had their heads bowed.
Aaron scoffed, "Li, the ways of our ancestors was also to cut down a disloyal servant, need I remind you of your place in this palace?" he snarled. Li fell to his knees, "I am sorry your Highness! I am sorry! I am very sorry!" he stated immediately.
"I will not be needing the entourage too, I will be with Nancy and a maid of my choosing, Ivanna can resume as the palace mistress, her duties will double if I ask her to take on both roles."
"But your excellency! I am not complaining," Ivanna said, "I never said you were. I want to thank you for your help throughout my reign as the crown princess, I just do not see the need for all these people following me around and so it shall be, I will require one guard, Nancy and a maid," Ivanna nodded dissatisfied.
She hated being sent away, she had grown to like the presence of the Empress so much and now, she was being sent to the job of taking care of maids when she could be by the Empress's side. She would be envied by everyone, but it seemed that Nancy was who Irisa cared for not her.
"You shall leave immediately, every one of you, we require no assistance from here on what," Aaron commanded them. They all bowed before turning back and walking away, "I am sorry your majesty, your excellency, even though your word is absolute, for your safety, a guard should at least follow you to your chamber, to ensure that you are both safe."
"I cannot protect my wife and I Li," Aaron said unamused, "still, I just want..."
"Leave supervisor Li!" Aaron commanded, Li sighed and nodded, he bowed softly and turned to follow the maids and guards. A guard stood before them, scared, Aaron scoffed, while Irisa chuckled.
"Li does not listen at all," he muttered, "it is okay Aaron, he just wants to ensure our safety, that is all, we are the monarchs after all."
"You just reminded me! The reason I decided to take a break! We have to celebrate our victory and ascension!"
"What are you talking about? We just had a ball?" she said, unsure of what he was talking about. "You are so silly beloved, I have missed you, work has taken you away from me."
"Or it is the other way around," Irisa said scoffing, she turned as they approached his bed chamber, "Do you want me to stay?" she asked, as they stopped at the entrance where two men were stationed. The men bowed as they saw them approaching.
"Of course, beloved," he opened the door and pulled her into his arms, "God Aaron! You seem more..."
"Enthuastic to have the love of my life in my arms right where I want her," he said grinning, "I would have said excited but that works too," she grinned back as he helped her, with her crown, he started pulling the pin off her hair, they giggled and laughed, Irisa's eyes went to the guard followed them. He was in the Emperor's chambers.
"What is he still doing here?" Irisa muttered, covering, her half-loosen gown, Aaron glanced at him, "What are you doing here? Do you want to watch me unwrap the Empress," he shook his head and flew out of the room, making Irisa giggle.
