*Throwback starts*

"Here is something for you", my Mum sais as she hands me a letter. I open it and see it is about Eurovision in Vienna.

This year I competed for the job as a volunteer to help the days before and during the show and I actually made it!

I'm so so happy, because I always loved this show and I'm sure it'll be an unforgetable experience.

The time passed and now it was the 15th may, 3 days before the first semifinal.
I was glad to be there but on the 15th and 16th it wasn't that exciting.
I had a lot to do backstage: cleaning and giving people food and drinks. No glamour at all. Just simple jobs, which nobody wants to do.
But sometimes I could hear things from the stage.

On the 17th may was the first rehearsal and the staff was allowed to watch it.

There were about 150 people but we had enough space so actually everybody stood in the first row.

The second song already catched me: Amazing voice, catchy rhythm, futuristic coreography.

I missed his name at the beginning and now I was just starring at him.
" He seems to be my age", I think surprised because Im only 18. I expected the artists to be older than me but I even heard about an 16 years old.
All I could get was that he participates for Belgium.

*the next day*

"Today is the day of the first semifinal", I remeber as I wake up. We have to wear black clothes but I try to look as nice as possible in it and also spend some extra time with my hair and face.....

I reach the hall and all I can see are stressed, busy people running around searching clothes, rooms, people, phones or food.
And its my job to help them. So I'm pretty much running around the whole time.
But then I see him again...That belgian guy.
He looks helpless and confused, like a lost puppy, so I ask him: "Can I help you?"
"Uhhhhm, well. I cant find my room", he answers.
"Oh I can help you", I say and look on my note pad "I just need your name."
"Loic Nottet" he says.
"It's number 115. I'll show you the way"
"Ok, thats great!" I go ahead and he follows me.
"Are you excited?" I finally say to break the silence between us.
"Oooh Yes! Of course I am. But I'm more afraid of all those media guys which ask me questions. I'm always so shy.", he answers with an amazingly cute smile.
"But you didn't look shy at all when you were on stage"
"On stage I can be myself but also completely different. I have to courage to do things I wouldnt normally do. I dont fear anything in those moments", he says and in his eyes, I see his burning passion for what he does.
