After what he did to me, why is he here again?
Taehyung couldn't help but get reminded of the past
But he doesn't want to recall it
So he decided to act like a stranger who was just helped by the male standing in front of him
"He probably wouldn't recognize me, why would he even remember me?" taehyung scoffed
He lowered his head as his cap covered his face
"Thanks" he muttered and then turned to leave
But stopped in his tracks the next moment as he heard the man say
"Taehyung-" Taehyung froze
Did he recognize me?
Taehyung can't believe the fact that jungkook recognized him
He just stood there, his back facing jungkook as he took deep breaths to calm down
Jungkook didn't know what else to say, too just stood there while eyeing the male's back
There was an awkward silence between the hustle-bustle of the street
That was until taehyung decided to break it
"Excuse me?" taehyung was hoping that maybe he will leave him alone if he pretended to not know him
"Taehyung, there's no need to put up an act, I know you recognized me at first glance" Jungkook sighed as he knew that taehyung was putting up a front just to make him leave
Taehyung remained quiet, but only he knew that a hurricane was rising in his heart
He clenched his fist as he recalled the unpleasant memories
He had trusted him
"Taehyung" Jungkook's voice broke his chain of thoughts
"Don't call me," Taehyung uttered, jungkook felt a pang in his heart
Taehyung took a deep breath and started walking away
Jungkook didn't know what got into him as he followed taehyung, telling him to stop just once
"Taehyung, please hear me out just once" Jungkook's desperate calls made Taehyung heartache
But he is not going to stop, he will not listen to his calls
But soon after a crowd started to gather around them as they heard the commotion between the males
They even started taking pictures and videos
"what are they doing"
Taehyung thought as he turned to glance at jungkook who didn't even glance at the crowd, he was just looking at him
Taehyung took a deep breath as he started walking again, yet jungkook didn't give up
He was following him like a shadow while begging him to stop
As the crowd grew there were whispers about them too, which taehyung didn't really find entertaining
"hey isn't that the officer?"
"yeah, what was his name?"
"it was jeon jungkook probably"
"yeah but what is he doing?"
"Who is that guy?"
"I don't know I can't really see his face clearly"
As the comments started growing taehyung was frustrated to the core
"Idiot!"
"If not mine then consider his reputation, he is an officer for God's sake!"
Taehyung turned at once walking towards the guy who was following him
He grabbed his hands and pulled him into an alley
Away from the eyes of those cameras
"What do you want?!" he whisper-yelled as he slammed the others back on the wall
"I just want to talk to you once!" jungkook replied with the same tone
"But I don't want to talk!" taehyung exclaimed
"What are you gonna talk about anyway?"Taehyung glared at him
"That it was your mission, you had no other choice whatsoever?" Taehyung scoffed
"No other choice, bullshit!" He exclaimed at the now-surprised officer
"Y-you knew it?" jungkook sputtered
"from the start" Jungkook was shocked
He......Knew it?
"well I would not say that I knew it from the start, but I knew it halfway" Taehyung explained looking at the male's eyes
"Yet you didn't accuse me?" A different emotion was taking home in his heart
"I didn't, because I thought my love will win in the end..... But- but" Tears started forming at the corner of Taehyung's eyes as he recalled everything
No, I can't cry now
He blinked to prevent the tears from slipping
"just...go away" Taehyung mumbled and turned to leave
He turned again to look at the stunned male
"I hate you." He whispered the words and continued walking, but somehow jungkook caught it
"No, you don't" He immediately replied
Taehyung stopped in his tracks
"If you did, you wouldn't pull me away from the crowd, just because you care for my reputation more than I do" jungkook stated
Taehyung heaved a trembling sigh
"I didn't do it for you" He declared
Yeah I definitely didn't
"Why else?" jungkook teased
"Because you were not the only one getting commented on, you may not care about your reputation but I do care about mine" Taehyung replied
Then he turned to look at him
"I have an image to maintain," Taehyung stated and left without any word
Yeah yeah no shit
jungkook snickered
Then he smiled looking at his disappearing back
He changed a lot
"May I talk to you now, officer jeon jungkook" He heard a female voice and turned to the source, only to be greeted by a glare
"i-i can explain"
"you better"
