It was during a gathering of the Jeon family that his father called Jungkook over. Jungkook obediently went up to him, feeling already uneasy, sensing there is something bad to come.

"As you all may know, Lady Choi Ina stayed here for a while. I was pleased to see how well Jungkook and her got along. Jungkook told me that he was positively surprised by her personality and beauty. So I took matters into my hand and agreed with her father to build an alliance through the marriage of our two children."

Jungkook run pale, Jimin's eyes shifted to him, looking at him in worry and sympathy.

"I hope you don't mind that I took those steps already. But as we talked, you agreed to consider marrying her, right?"

His father's grip on his shoulder felt uncomfortable, the expectant eyes of his clan members on him even more.

"Right", he tried hard to smile as good as he could.

Everyone was clapping in the room, looking proudly at their potential new leader.

Yeah. He just said that to not raise any suspicions while planning his escape with Taehyung.

"Splendid. I planned a visit of yours at the Choi's in two days, if that's alright?"

"Only me?"

"Me and your mother will follow a day after, since we have business here to do, I'm afraid."

"That's alright", Jungkook was already flipping thoughts back and forth what he could do, how he could escape.

"I won't let you travel all alone though. You can choose two of our men who come with you."

"Jimin", Jungkook said quickly.

"Ah, of course", his father nodded knowingly.

"I will volunteer also", Hobi said, stepping closer.

"Then it's set", his father smiled. Everyone walked up to Jungkook to wish him his best luck in his future, and it really started to freak him out. This wasn't supposed to happen.

This can't be happen.

"Why do you look so pale, son?", His father asked, sipping on his drink as they were alone.

"I...it's just a bit unexpected, you know?"

"Really? How so?"

"Well...I was thinking about marrying out of love...and I barley know Ina...it's just...so fast."

His father nodded and smiled "I see. You are concerned that you two are strangers. That's why we want you to spend more time together. To get to know each other. Me and your mother weren't in love right away as we married. Love is something that grows through the marriage. It's calm and steady."

'Wrong', Jungkook thought by himself. Love, is wild and passionate. It's nothing like what his father says. Not that kind of love he means, at least. He wondered if his parents ever really fell in love. His gut cramped in his stomach, making him wince a bit. This wasn't good.

All the people, the sticky air, his father's presence; everything was too much. He felt suffocated, needed air to breathe.

Jungkook excused himself politely, walking out of the balcony.

He needed a plan.

Jungkook managed to escape the rest of the gathering early, going to his chamber to go different path through in his head, having mental breakdowns in between, where he curled up to a ball in his bed, crying his heart out. The tragic end of Romeo and Juliet never left his mind; the failed attempt to escape their destiny's.
