Chapter One: I've started attending Meiou High School

"I'll be fine, you can go," I said to my sweet old driver.

"But Miss, it'll be safer if I drop you off directly at the entrance."
"Don't you remember what happened the last time you dropped me off? Besides, I know martial arts."  I said as I showed off my non-existent muscles
"Fine.." he said reluctantly. "I'll pick you up after school, right on the dot."
I giggled. "Okay, see you after school!"
"Have a good day at school, Miss!" he said as he drove off. I waved then started to walk to the front entrance.

Time was ticking, and many voices were being heard by my ears as I walked to the front entrance. I've recently transferred to this school because of my family going overseas a lot. Luckily, this will be the last time I'll move.

Meiou High School.

I read the sign before entering the school. Thump, thump, thump, the noise as my heart is beating fast. I'm so nervous. Hopefully this time, I can settle down and leave my crazy life behind. I had the worst luck. As expected when I walked in, two boys interrupted me. "Well, well, well, here comes a cute girl," one of the boys said.
"Yeah," the other boy said.
"Excuse me" I quietly mutter, not wanting to talk to them.
"Huh? speak up, I can't hear you."
"I said excuse me, but I need to go to class."
"Well, I'm sure your teacher won't mind if we're having fun with you." Does this guy have something better to do other than bothering me?
"Let go of me!" I pushed him.
"How dare you! He said as he slammed me against the wall. "Such a rude girl, but your beauty makes up for it," He said as he put his hand on my chin. I tried to smack it off with my hand but the other guy grabbed my hand. I looked around for help but no one seemed to pay any attention. Do I have any choice? Oh well, here goes my chance of having a normal school life. I got ready to attack him but Lady Luck decided to shine on me today.
"HEY, WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING?!" A girl shouted.
The boys turned "Huh? What is it to ya?"
"It has everything to do with me. You two are sexually harassing that girl." The brown-haired girl said as she glared at them.
Yes! There's a chance that my high school life can go well.
"No, we're not, we're just playing with her, right?" He said while looking at me.
Huh? Is this guy an idiot? Why would I go along with what he say?
"No, they're very much bothering me!"
"See, now scram before I call the police on you," the girl said, still glaring at them
"Tsk, I'll get you back for this," he said while he ran off with the other guy.
"Um, thank you so much!" I bowed.
"You're welcome!"
I didn't know what to say next since she was silent, my face is slightly red. I can't believe that happened to me. She spoke up.
"Next time, yell for help and don't let those boys bother you," she said gently. "Oh, my name is Keiko by the way."
"I won't. My name is A-" I was cut off
"Oh no, I gotta go. See you later" Keiko ran off.
I didn't get the chance to tell her my name. Oh well, next time. I walked inside the school to meet my homeroom teacher. Hopefully, this one will be decent too. The odd thing is that their type of wording is nice, but there's always a deeper meaning. They all want to please me because of my family background. Akari, who comes from the prestigious and wealthy Kaneshiro family. Such a great way to start my day—- Being harassed. I'm different from other people. The truth is that I come from a different world. I got memories of my past life when I was 6. I didn't get all my memories, only that I used to have a life and sometimes get fragments of it. The real Akari Kaneshiro died so I got a second chance at her life. Sometimes, I get nightmares about taking her life and her getting mad at me. I feel so guilty for it. I was born into a very generous family. Even though I sometimes get in trouble and am shy, they still love me unconditionally; therefore, I would like not to cause trouble for them this time.
I managed to reach the teacher lounge and went inside. "You must be the young miss of the Kaneshiro family." The teacher greets with a smile. "Nice to meet you, you can call me Hirogawa-sensei"
"Yes, I am, nice to meet you! I'm here for my class schedule."
"Of course. Here's your class schedule " He gave it to me and I put it in my bag. I just followed him and he led me inside a classroom.
" This is the classroom, I have something to do so you can go ahead and sit down."
"Okay thank you!" He left. There were only a few students, and beside the window was a red-haired man. Strange-—--He feels familiar. Where have I seen him? If I keep staring at him...Will he find me out?
"Hi." A girl approaches me. "I'm Rin Fukuhara."
"Hi, I'm Akari Kaneshiro" I introduced myself
"I noticed you were new so I wanted to say hello." She seems very excited to meet me. Her face says a lot about what she's feeling... It's cute.
"Thank you so much, Rin." I said smiling.
"Hey Rin, one of the teachers needs you," a boy said.
"Okay, I'll be there soon. Sorry, I have to go but it was nice meeting you"
"You too," I said. Rin runs off, leaving me alone with the red-headed. I feel nervous being alone with him. I don't know why but I took the seat next to him, something about him draws my attention. Why does he feel so familiar? I sat down and looked out the window as I ransacked my brain.
He placed his book down, turn to look at me, and looked at me with a smile."Hello, I'm Shuichi Minamino. Welcome to our class —I hope we get along."
Shuichi proceeds to extend his arm—--His aura gives such a familiar feeling, but I can't pinpoint what it is. It felt almost unreal, and strange.
"Hi, I'm Akari Kaneshiro." I shook his hand. His hand feels so gentle and warm— wait what? What am I saying? He's so beautiful... "Wow, you're so handsome," I said while I dozed off.
By the time I realized what I had said. I covered my mouth. "N-No, I mean-" Shuichi chuckles "It is quite all right. I get that a lot" I blushed.
Wait, could he be- No that's impossible. He has to be though.  They are so similar. That boy...  At that moment, the bell rings meaning class is about to start. "Well, shall we talk later?"
"Yeah, sure!" Shuichi turned around and faced his desk." It's very noisy here, huh..." I whisper to myself.
I can hear their footsteps, their voices, and the whispers that the students were making to each other. All the students entered the classroom and we were waiting for the teacher. I glanced at Shuichi who's getting his materials out. He is very handsome though.
Rin came in last minute before the teacher came and took a seat right in front of me. She turned around to look at me and smiled. I smiled back.
The teacher came and took attendance. "Oh right.. class! We have a new student starting today. Please come up here and introduce yourself, Kaneshiro" Hirogawa-sensei said as he looked at me. Huh?! I totally forgot that I would have to introduce myself. Oh well, let's just get it over with.  I got up, went to the front of the class and wrote my name on the board. I turned around and smiled. "Hello, My name is Akari Kaneshiro and I just came from overseas. I used to live in Japan but because of my father's business, we move around a lot. Nice to meet you guys." I introduced myself as I bowed.
Hirogawa-sensei clapped, "That was great! I hope you guys help and treat her well. You can go back to your seat now."
"Okay" I said. As I went to my seat and sat down, Hirogawa-sensei began to lecture. Rin turned around and whisper "That was amazing! Also, you're from overseas? Wow, that's so cool. Do you speak different languages? What kind of business does your father do? Do you have other siblings? At what age did you leave Jap-"
"Fukuhara! I can hear you whispering!" Hirogawa-sensei said, glaring at Rin.
"Oops sorry!" She said blushing and sat in her seat properly. He went back to his lecture.
"You can answer my questions later." She winked.
I chuckled. "Okay."
My classes went by in a blink of an eye and It was already lunchtime. I prefer to eat on the roof, breathing in that flesh air. I was going to ask around where the roof access was but Rin came up to me.
"Do you want to eat lunch with me? You can answer all my questions then" she asked.
"Yeah, of course!" I said excitedly.
"Yay! I normally eat on the roof so come with me!" Before I could say anything, she dragged me away. But before we left, I think I felt someone looking at me. Is it my imagination? Oh whatever.
