It had been a few hours since Heeseung's parents came and left a damper on his mood and since the kids were back. The two best friends were in the sourest of conditions and the other two knew it.

But they didn't know how to address it with the children around being oblivious and not noticing the behaviors they individually decided to wait for the children to sleep to say something.

In the meantime, Heeseung avoided Sunghoon the whole time and Jake was busying himself with the kids, not ignoring Jay, just always having one of the kids with him to avoid the conversation.

But soon they could no longer evade it, the children were burnt out and whiny and the sleeping arrangements had to be made. "I only have three bedrooms so..." Heeseung says.

"I think it'll be fine if all the kids share a room, right Sunghoon?" Jay asks and the younger immediately agrees with him. "Well now that leaves two" Sunghoon says. "I'll put the kids to sleep" Jake says before leaving the room quickly.

Heeseung was just about to open his mouth Jay cut him off "Heeseung, you won't mind if I sleep with Jake would you?" Heeseung felt terrible. He wanted to sleep with Jake but he couldn't say that outright.

It would be even more awkward if he said he didn't want to sleep with Sunghoon, he already felt bad for avoiding him for half a night. "Sure, that's fine" Heeseung showed him the room and he left.

Heeseung came back to Sunghoon in the same spot he left him in. "You seem very uncomfortable with the arrangements, understandably so, I can take the cou-" Heeseung shook his head before he could think.

"No. I-I'm sorry. It's not your fault that you saw that. I shouldn't be punishing you for it, I should be embarrassed and I am I just-" Heeseung started but stopped noticing Sunghoon staring at him.

"It's fine. That was brutal and I shouldn't have stayed I should've left but I was so stunned. He looked like he was gonna... hit you" Heeseung looks at the ground "you being gay really bothers him?"

Just then Jake walks in and the two look at him "You're with Jay" Heeseung says before turning back to Sunghoon "let's go, Sunghoon" neither catch Jake's bug eyes as he reacts.

He slowly makes his way to his room to find Jay peaceful in his bed "Did my kitten give you hard time?" He asks noticing Jake but the younger shakes his head before gently getting on the edge of the bed.

Jay watched him painfully "Why are you being so weird Jakey?" He asks "I know something happened" Jay says. "It's nothing" Jake says. "It's obviously not it's got you bummed out"

Jake gave up hiding it as he saw Jay wasn't going to let up "I got laid off today and I need another job" Jake says and Jay falls silent "see? This is why you should've let up" Jake says but Jay shakes his head.

"Not when I can easily help you" Jay says "Could you stop acting like I'm a stranger first?" He says and Jake makes himself comfortable in the bed closer to Jay. "I just got promoted as head supervisor at my job"

Jake looked at him weirdly "And with my recommendation, you can easily get a job at the company I work for" Jay says. "Are you sure? I feel like that's asking too much Jay" Jake says.

"Good thing you didn't ask, I offered" he says "listen, just think about it and we'll talk in the morning, okay?" Jake slowly nods his head, feeling even more confused then before about his feelings for Jay.

"My father and I have never seen eye to eye" Heeseung says "When I came out to them, he completely ignored me and went on even more unbearable.

Then when I made it so clear he couldn't ignore me, he started cutting me off of things. Like my inheritance, his company, not like I wanted it but still, and other stuff too. So we don't talk often, just me and my mom.

Or we used to anyway. I don't know how things will be from now on. I thought I was making my dad proud and that he was gonna acknowledge me, not shame me for who I am. It's unfortunate that you had to see that"

"It's unfortunate for them. Your mom lied to you and your dad doesn't accept you. I know it's hard to see now but they missed out. Not you Heeseung" Heeseung sighs. "Thanks but you don't have to say those things, Sunghoon" Sunghoon scoffs.

"You think I'm just saying stuff? I'm serious Heeseung. I owe you everything, you can make my son happy to the point where he asks about you often. You're nice and very understanding. You deserve better" Sunghoon says.

Heeseung smiles at this "Besides, we're friends now and I don't have that many. The few that i have cant be sad on my watch" Sunghoon says with a kiddish smile making the older laugh.

Sunghoon and Sunoo came back from Heeseung's house a few hours ago to a bored looking Jisoo. She calmly walked over to Sunghoon, ignoring Sunoo, and slowly kissed his cheek.

He smiled thinking all was well as she then acknowledged Sunoo rubbing head making him laugh before turning back to Sunghoon with a smile. "I'm glad you're feeling better" he says.

"I'm feeling really well" she giggles "may I borrow your car? Mine is being worked on" she says sweetly but Sunghoon's smile falters a little, why was she leaving? But he gave in not wanting to upset her.

"Sure but don't be out too late, I have work tomorrow" Sunghoon says, handing them to her. She giggled again before kissing him on the lips but he didn't kiss back, her breath smelled weird.

"Okay" she singsongs leaving before he could even ask her where she was going. He turned to Sunoo and shrugged "If mommy is happy why did she leave?" Sunoo asks, again, his father shrugs.

"I'm sure she'll be back tonight, don't worry about it, Papa" he says picking Sunoo up "now what do you want to eat for dinner?" Sunghoon asks, Sunoo immediately cheers up. "Pizza! Let's eat Pizza!"

For some reason Sunghoon was up earlier than usual, he couldn't go back to sleep so he decided to get dressed. When he was finished it 5:49 am, he had to be to work in 2 hours more or less.

When he woke up Jisoo was not there and she's still not here now and he had to leave soon, so he called her as he woke Sunoo up for Heeseung's house but she didn't answer. Not the first time. And she still wasn't picking up.

Heeseung opened the door to a very frustrated Sunghoon "Hey, bud!... Sunghoon you all right?"  He gave a quick smile and nodded "Yeah, just kind of running late. I'll see you later" he says and leaves before Heeseung could question him further.

Heeseung decided to ask Sunoo if he might know. "My mommy took Daddy's car yesterday" Heeseung's eyes widen "She didn't come back yet?" "Nope. Mommy's gone"
