TARA'S POV

"baisa !!" I wake up to loud but respectable voice of a young maid servant, for a few second I just stared at she then at my surrounding, not understanding what's going on until she starts speaking then the memories of yesterday came back. "Forgive me, Baisa, rajmata had ordered me to inform you to meet her before lunch. I waited for you to wake up on your own, but it's almost time for lunch so the have to wake up in this way or you'll be late" she spoke in one breath, afraid I be angry on her for raising her voice on me.

"Relax. I'm not angry. You said rajmata want to meet me?" I asked, to which she nodded way to fast which honestly made her look like baby squirrel. "give me some something I'll get read" she bowed again and went outside, only then did the question stuck me 'what am I going to wear?' after searching for a while I finally found my backpack in give I keep all my important thing along with an extra pair of clothes in case of emergency. I looked at my oversized t-shirt and a high base straight fit jeans 'it's going to be awkward' with a sigh I got ready keep my hair in a loose bun.

The maid that woke me up was waiting outside for me. She leads me to the rajmata's tent, on my way I kept thinking what I am going to tell the rajmata about me, I can't possibly tell her about my time travel. In the best case she'll take for some mad women and in worst case for someone who practise dark magic, I can't afford any of it. I have to be careful of every word that I speak because, a single wrong word can get me killed.

The maid's voice broke me out of my thought, looking forward I was standing in front of a luxurious tent which I assume is rajmata's. I stepped in to find the vaidya that treated me yesterday, talking with another middle aged woman. The women might be in her early forties and she gives off a strong aura of a queen, the kind which make even an experienced nervous let alone a mere 18 year old me.

"Pranam rajmata" I greeted copying the maid I came along.

She scanned me from top to bottom, well to be honest the look on her face somewhat a mixture of sock, confusion and disapproval at last for a while then speak.

"Come here " she said with a blank expression which made me froze for a moment. " sit near me "

I hesitantly move towards the couch to sit. To be honest I am a little...no extremely scared what if she took me as spy. Spies from enemy kingdom were common in this era.

" How are you feeling?" She asked politely with a reassuring smile as if having sensed my fear.

" I am much better now, rajmata " I replied with smile which obviously was fake.

" Sunita told me that you were searching for your uncle. Who is he? And what about your parents " she asked pointing towards the vaidya.

" My parents died when I was a child and my uncle, sanjay, is my father best friend and my guardian." I replied carefully with all truth .

She took long pause then asked " what were you doing on the top of the mountain. How did you fall and where is your uncle now"?

" I don't know.... I... I came with my uncle to travel the world. We were resting when I found something strange a little further from our resting place, so I went to look for it without telling my uncle."

" Then I felt that earth started to sake and everything went dark, the last thing I remember is that I fell on something hard. " I finished explaining carefully mixing truth with believable lies. But her next words got me froze.

"Yes, there was a landslide that caused a lot of destruction. We found you on branch of a tree next day of the landslide, strangely you don't have any serious injury but it's fortunate. About your uncle, I don't want to scare you but to inform he might have not survived the landslide. " although I know that my uncle is alive in 21st century but still it made me emotional.

"Don't cry my child" she said hugging me while petting my hairs. Her motherly touch, remind me of mumma and dadima which did not more then to add more water to two already flowing waterfall.

After what felt like an eternity of crying like a baby, I calm down. then she again asked something that is hard to answer for me " where are you from and why do wear these weird clothes? You seem to belong to good family but your clothes... are weird. "

" After I lost my parents, I started traveling with my uncle, we don't stay anywhere for long. As for my clothes, people wear these types of clothes, where I came from. " I replied with half-truth and half lie as She seems like a good person so I don't want to lie to her but I absolutely can't tell her truth.

" Seems like you came from far away " she said and give me an understanding look before continuing " but since you're here don't wear these clothes "

" Since I am here means?" I asked not understanding her last line.

"Since your uncle is not here now. You can stay with me as it's not safe for a girl to be alone without any guardian. You are guest in Vijaygarh and as the rajmata I would be happy to welcome you but only if you want to. " she said with a smile which made me hug her since she reminds me of my mother.

...........

My meeting with queen mother lasted till noon then we have lunch which has roti, kachori, some sweet with sabji. Talking to her help me relax a bit and I got to know that, she was on her way back to the raj mahal but has to stop because of landslide.

Wanting to know more about my surrounding, I decided to go along with her to visit a nearby village that unfortunately was affected by landslide. Landslide really caused huge destruction through, there were only a few deaths, many seriously injured ones were being attended by vaids and vaidyas.

On one side, Soldier were building large tents for temporary residents for affected people as their houses were destroyed. On the other side food was being prepared in large containers. 'much faster and better arrangements then the one in 21st century coz those responsible would be arguing about whose fault it was, instead to providing proper aide'. Rajmata met and reassured villagers of help from rajmahal. Then we returned back.

Another day in 15th century passed by like this and its night already. I accepted her proposal of bringing me with her to palace since she seems like a good person and it really dangerous for me as a girl to be here, well it's dangerous to live in palace too but at least I will be safe there till I don't give them any reason to suspect me. Thinking all this I fall asleep a little relieved.
