It took Luo Wenzhou a month and a half to break away from the clutches of the hospital.

Technically, he had healed up nicely within the first month itself, but at the 'insistence', — or more like 'intimidation' on President Fei's part, — the hospital kept the officer under lock and key for another two weeks, — that even scars had scabbed and healed into faint red lines!

Was Luo Wenzhou surprised by the blatant abuse of power and money? — Not really.

It wasn't never beneath Fei Du to flaunt his financial supremacy when it suited him. He would have colluded with the doctors to keep Luo Wenzhou in for an even longer period of time, if he was allowed to have his way.

The only reason Luo Wenzhou was permitted to rest at home, — was because of a complaint;

— That the hospital bed wasn't big enough to accommodate Fei Du to sleep in it with him.

So, yes —
Thank God for carnal desires.

Hence, — the entanglement of bodies even before their apartment door could slam shut. Luo Wenzhou had pinned his young lover's back to the door, capturing his unsuspecting lips in a passionate kiss, before the surprised gasp could even escape.

"...Shi-xiong..." through the mess of lips and tongues, the young President's engaging moan carried a hint of insincere protest, — "... your wound..."

"What wound...?" the older man feigned, as he deliberately made a project of showcasing his virility by lifting Fei Du off his feet and into his arms...

Except, — it didn't exactly demonstrated the outcome he wanted when he nearly dropped his young lover as he doubled over, hissing painfully at the protest of his 'yet-to-completely-heal' fractured rib.

Alarmed, — "Wenzhou!" Fei Du scrambled to help the older man to the sofa.

"Had to show-off, hadn't you?" the younger man chided disapprovingly.

Chuckling weakly through the pain, — "Baobei'r... I've held back for so long now... can you blame me for being desperate...?"

Shaking his head disbelievingly at his older lover's one-track mind, — the younger man on the other hand, had already been sobered up by the reminder of the still healing injury.

Having lost the mood for a sexy time, Fei Du moved to get up from the sofa when Luo Wenzhou's swift reflexes caught hold of his wrist, preventing him from leaving, — "Where are you going?" he asked anxiously.

More amused than exasperated by the man's clinginess, — "To reheat some lunch for you... Now, let go, silly..."

Reluctantly letting go, Luo Wenzhou's eyes never left Fei Du as they trailed the younger man every step of the way into the kitchen, — "Where did lunch come from? Take-out?" he asked, seeing the man take a few containers out of the fridge.

"No, not take-outs... Mom told me that she came over this morning to stock the fridge up with some prepared meals..."

"'Mom told you'? Were you not home this morning?" The older man did not mean to sound misgiving, but it was an ingrained practice of a seasoned policeman to question everything;

— Not that Fei Du particularly minded either.

Popping in the microwaveable containers into the appliance, — "There were a few documents in the office that required my signature urgently, so I quickly popped into the office early this morning to sign them before heading to the hospital to fetch you..." he explained smoothly as he started up the microwave.

And by 'office', Fei Du meant the newly acquired and renovated business premise. His OCD would not abide by flaws and imperfections, — what's more something that was tarnished by a reckless fool.

Fei Du was just not having it.
