Whistling of winds and the sound of birds in the cold winter are heard as a new day approaches for Jane. There's a deafening silence as she spaces out in her own room. She flinches as sunlight coming from her blinds hits her eye; looking at the time she begins to start her day.
Busy crowds. Noises of different people doing their own little things. Clasping her hands to gain warmth against the cold, she accidentally bumps onto someone. Looking up, a smile appears on her face and hug the person she knows and has been friends with. Satty, the guy who helps her in college."Hey, I'm planning to pick you up." He said while brushing his hand through his hair. Jane chuckled, "Well, I'm here now, let's go." and clings her hand to his arm.
They went to a shelter and decided to adopt a cat. Bunch of arguments are made before, since Jane wanted a puppy; on the other hand, Satty wanted a cat - in the end he finally persuaded her.
A bell rang as they opened the door, and a man in his forty’s looked at them. Satty talked to the man while Jane was busy roaming inside the shelter. She’s lost in thoughts when her friend grabs her telling her that the adoption papers are already done. She glanced behind him and saw the cat that Satty had picked. ‘It looks cute’ she thought.
“Let’s stop by the grocery store,” her friend said. She replied a short Okay, then they proceeded to walk.
A few moments later, they arrived home. A short back story. Jane and Satty decided to be roommates for some private reasons but anyways.
Jane drops herself onto the sofa while Satty enthusiastically takes care of the cat’s needs. Satty looked up and reminded Jane to attend classes; she nodded lazily and opened her laptop. He stands up and informs her that he’s going to work now and she's told not to forget to feed the cat. Jane nods and raises her thumbs up.
~fast forward~
Jane forgets to feed the cat. She hurriedly looked at the time, and it’s almost time for her friend to come home. She got the bowl, poured food in it and gave it to the cat. A minutes passed by and she heard the door unlocked, showing Satty with lots of shopping bags in his hand. She looked confused at first, but soon realized his addiction to cats.
“Wow, you spent more money this time, heh,” Jane said while checking each bag filled with the cat toy and other necessities.
Satty gave her a look of ‘not your business’ and said, “Help me arrange this furniture for him.”
It takes them hours to fully complete the setup. Jane blamed the perfectionism that Satty had. But in the end, she enjoyed having a cat and continued their days with it.
