+CHAPTER ONE+

Tired Af!!!!

Here I was again....I didn't even know if my date would show up. I've been stood up quite a lot of times so it's not a surprise now.

I took another swig of the wine placed in front of me...it wasn't even enough to get m drunk.

Why would you even come to a date like this in the first place?

I don't know....I have no explanation myself.
My mind was making a mockery of my stupidity. Once again I fell for her lies.

I decided to abandon this whole date and run off.
The restaurant was a fancy one no doubt but I was starting to get embarrassed by the stares being given to me by the people around...

I'm so sure their minds must be buzzing with questions on why a lady would be on a date with herself.

I stormed out of the place angrily,my heels clicking violently with the floor tiles.
Even my heels were annoyed,my legs were starting to ache but I was able to make it to the car park.

One problem, I didn't bring my car. Dammit!
The realization hit me just like the cold wind that was blowing causing goosebumps to rise on my skin.

The cold air was starting to catch up to me and my skimpy red dress didn't help much!
I pulled out my phone to call a cab so I could leave this horrible place...

The call was starting to go through when I felt a coat drape around my shoulders....I was on alert mode!

I turned my face ready to swing at whoever it was but I was met with a familiar pair of green orbs staring at me.

It was my date!

Once I recognized the person anger surged through me. I wanted to give her a tight slap for standing me up for close to an hour but I held back.

She called you and you answered....
I reminded myself.

"Well you're early..." I said mockingly removing the coat she put on me even though the cold was killing me,my pride proved stronger.

"Aeila....I'm sorry, I got so caught up with work that I forgot....I came rushing immediately"
She looked remorseful but I couldn't care less
This wasn't the first, second or third time she was doing this.

"Sure no problem Raven....I had a nice time with myself. I'll get going now. Thanks" there was so much anger laced in my voice

I moved forward but she held my wrist back and pulled me into a hug. Her body felt so warm, despite our height difference I took comfort in the hug

I could swear the hug changed my mind for a bit but I pulled out and attempted to remove her grip on my wrist.

"Aeila please don't be like this....." Her voice sent a wave of guilt into my heart.

Maybe I was being too harsh....It was not her fault she got caught up with work.

Fool!

"Raven....why arrange a date when you wouldn't even show up? All you do is make me look like a fool" my breathing was shallow now

"I'm sorry- "

"Let me speak" I cut her off and continued
" This isn't your first time and you know that! Am I that unimportant that you easily forget that I exist and I'm probably rotting away In some restaurant waiting for you?"

"I'll make it up to you I promise" she said her expression one of remorse.

"I'll just go home....it's fine I'm tired anyways" I waved her off
