Downwind [Bakugo x FEM reader]

Water swirls around you as you frantically try to swim, but with each stroke the water crashes over you. Water is in your ears, your eyes, it's in your nose, it floods your everything and consumes you. Then a bright light can be seen and you are on an empty road with no cars. You run on the never ending road hoping to find something, but you don't know what.

You wake up with a start.

'What a crazy dream'you think.

Bakugo is sitting right next to you, he had been poking you to wake you up. His eyes are a little wide with concern but he quickly hides his expression and returns it to his usual one.

It was lunch time and you had been waiting for Bakugo under "your"tree. Everyday he had been coming to sit next to you under the tree, you usually just listened to music but sometimes the both of you would have a good conversation.

"Were you having some type of nightmare ,nerd?" Bakugo asked.

You roll your eyes at the nickname but respond, "Yeah, I've been having them everytime I fall asleep. Every single day."

"What's the nightmare of?" He asks.

You tell him every detail of the dream, from the drowning to the endless road. He sits and listens silently until you're done speaking, he appears to be thinking.

Finally he speaks, "sounds like your mind is fucking looking for something."

"But what could it be looking for?" You ask, just wanting the nightmares to end.

"I don't know, figure it out yourself" he responds.

...

It is now after school and you're walking home listening to flashing lights on repeat pretending you're in cool music video when you bump into someone.

"Good to see ya princess" says Dabi's familiar voice.

You look up and put on a smile, you haven't seen him since that one night you went drinking.

"Princess?" You ask, not completely hating the nickname.

"What? You don't like it?" He asks teasingly.

"No!" You say a little too loudly, " Princess is fine."

He chuckles from under his hoodie. Because he's a very... popular villain... He has to keep himself hidden in public. Or else he'd have to burn any witnesses.

"Good." He replies, " you wanna come to the bar with me?" He asks stepping toward you.

You step back, "well actually, I'm in my way home. It's a school night y'know"

"Then take me with you, sneak me through the window or something."

You swear if this was an anime you would've sweat dropped. 

"Fine, come with me."

...

When you arrive at your apartment AJ isn't there because he's still at work. Dabi and you head to your room and close the door, from behind you he locks it.

"So..." You ask nervously, "what do you want to do?"

He chuckles at you, "We both know what I want."

He grabs you by the chin and kisses you roughly, at the same time he pushes you onto the bed. You kiss back and your hands roam under his shirt grabbing at his abs.

Dabi goes to take his shirt off, when you feel a pang of fear. You see, after the night you met Dabi, you did a little research on what sex was. And you knew what was happening now may lead to it. He goes to take off your shirt but you put your hands on his. You're not ready.

That's when you hear someone's knocking on the door.

"Y/n? Are you in here?"

'Ajax?' you think, 'what's he doing here?'

You were confused but also relieved that Ajax had come home early.

After hearing the male voice Dabi smirked "Oh this is getting good..." He says. You're sure this statement only meant he would cause trouble for you.

So, you did what you thought would help you.

You blew Dabi out of the window.

First you used a gust of wind to unlatch the window in the room and as the window opened you pushed him harshly out of the window with your wind. You looked down to check if he was fine, and you saw him simply standing on the ground, hunched over, with a devilish smirk on his face.

"Y/n?" Asked Ajax through the door, "Are you okay?"

You reply back, " yeah, I'm fine. Sorry, I was taking a nap."

You open the door and look at Ajax who looked very tired and upset.

"What's wrong?" You asked him.

He walked over to the couch and crashed down on it exhausted.

"I got fired today." He replied.

'Even though he had a bad day, he still went out of his way to ask me if I was okay earlier ' you thought. Motivated by this thought you brought him into your arms and rested his head on your shoulder.

Ajax's eyes widen in shock but quickly relax as he gets used to your embrace. He cuddles more into you and let's out a deep sigh.

"I didn't even do anything wrong."
