"WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY??" a voice screamed, the words echoing through the room as you heard footsteps run down the spiral staircase.

A ghoul barged into the room at full speed and looked around frenetically. You couldn't stop yourself from being slightly scared of this angry looking intruder, despite their shortness. When the ghoul finally laid their eyes on you, their attitude changed completely.

"Oh, there you are. Hey, I'm Dewdrop, I've literally been dying to meet you." The ghoul said, waving at you with a big smiled on his lips.

"Hey-" you answered timidly, kind of impressed by the bold nature of the ghoul that stood before you.

"Dew, we're busy right now, and you shouldn't be here." Rain said with an exasperated sigh, but the short ghoul ignored him.

"So, how's your first day?" Dew asked. "Not too bored with these suckers?" he said teasingly, plopping down next to you on the couch and leaning on his elbow in a seductive stance.

"Well uh actually-" you started to answer, but were cut off by a strong voice:

"Dewdrop you little bitch come back here you're not done with your chores!"

The voice came from a newly arrived ghoul. This one was about the same height as Rain, but more muscular. They stomped towards Dew and grabbed him by the collar, nearly picking him up from the ground.

"Aether I'll beat your fucking ass if you don't put me down right now." the little ghoul hissed.

"Yeah, yeah, we'll see about that." the taller ghoul said, walking back towards the stairs, bringing Dew with him. As he was about to leave your sight, he finally called out. "Oh and welcome little new ghoul!"

You smiled in amusement at this odd encounter, and tried to focus back on Rain.

"Dew can be very extravagant sometimes, but don't worry, he's a nice guy." Mountain said from the couch and you chuckled.

"Yeah well he sure looks like the entertaining type." You laughed. "And who was that other ghoul? Aether, I think?" you asked, turning back towards Rain.

"Yep, Aether is our quintessence ghoul, so rhythm guitar." Rain nodded. "You'll often see him fighting with Dew. Well, fighting playfully, most of the time."

You smiled at the comicality of such opposed-looking characters picking on one-another, before focusing back on your training.

A few hours passed and you stayed in the music room with Rain, occasionally taking a few chatting breaks with Mountain.

At about 1 p.m., the ghouls decided you would all grab some lunch, and you got up, thankful to take a longer break and to put some food in your belly. Mountain brought you upstairs to one of the resting rooms, and Rain quickly came back with sandwiches and beverages. The room overlooked an orchard and in the distance, you could see the lining of what seemed to be a forest.

"So, did you get used to your teeth yet?" Mountain asked as he bit off a piece of his sandwich.

"My teeth? What do you mean?" you asked, skeptical.

"You fangs." Rain explained, baring his teeth in demonstration. You realised that two of his canines were sharp fangs that extended longer than his other teeth.

"Wow, I didn't even notice them!" you explained, feeling your own fangs with the pad of your thumb.

"I'm only asking because sometimes new ghouls bite themselves unconsciously, and it's not the most fun thing to deal with." Mountain explained, glancing at Rain with a knowing smile. Rain simply rolled his eyes, ignoring the comment.
