"Dilan please Open your eyes! Don't leave me!" Baran said with a trembling voice, begging Dilan to just hold on.
"I have to get you to the hospital. Please hold on Dilan, please!" He lifted her up and ran as fast as his legs would carry him to his car. He lifted her onto the passenger seat and buckled her in.
He ran to the drivers side, got into the car. He looked at his beloved Dilan "hold on we gonna get you to the hospital and you'll be fine!".
With those words he stepped on the gas paddle and drove like he was chased.

The entire drive he prayed 'please don't take her from me! Please! I need her! Please don't do this!' Tears running down his cheek while he tried to put pressure on her wound. They finally arrived at the hospital after what felt like ages.
Baran jumped out of the car yelling for help. Nurses came running out. "My wife! Please help her! She was shot! Please help her!" He begged the nurses, who called for help and a stretcher. Baran laid his wife onto the stretcher and they rushed into the building. "I'm hear Dilan. I'm here please don't leave me! You need to fight, okay?! Please fight!" He pleaded with his wife. The moments came where he had to let go of her hand to let the doctors and nurses do their job. Letting go of her hand felt like losing part of his heart. "Please save her! Please save my wife!" He shouted after the doctors right before the door to the emergency room closed.

Everything started to become quiet and to start slowing down. Baran leaned against a wall to hold him up but without success. He slid down the wall and just started to cry. "How can this have happened? We were just talking about breakfast, we were happy. How?" He looked at his hands and realized they were covered in blood. Her blood. He started to breath heavy. A panic attack started to creep up in him. He started to hyper ventilating. One of the nurses at the front desk realized what was happening and ran over to him. "Sir, you need to breath! Try to take a deep breath in and out!" But Baran couldn't. He felt like someone is sitting on his chest. "I can't lose her. I just can't! I need her to be okay! Please she has to be okay!" He bagged the nurse. "The doctors will do everything in their power to save your wife but you need to calm down, so you can be there when she comes out of surgery. Okay. So look at me. Take a deep breath in annnd out." Baran tried but had a hard time with it. "You can do it. Just think of the beautiful moments with your wife. Focus on that." Baran closed his eyes, he started to think of all the magical moments they had with each other and slowly his breathing became more normal again.

He opened his eyes and looked at the nurse. "Thank you."
"It's okay that's what we are here for. I'll get you some water." she said and disappeared for a couple minutes. Baran didn't have the strength to get up, so he just stayed sitting on the ground. He wanted to feel close to Dilan and this was the closest he could get to her. The nurse came back with some water, Baran thanked her again and she left.

Baran was deep in thoughts when he realized his phone was ringing. He got it out of his pocket and saw his grandma calling. He just stared at his phone until the phone call disappeared. He just couldn't deal with her right now. He couldn't listen to her spewing her hatred towards Dilan anymore and he knew she would. He was about to put his phone away again when it started to ring again but this time it was Cihan.
Baran panicked for a second. "Oh gosh what am I gonna tell him? What should I do?"
He closed his eyes for a second and picked up the phone.
"Abi, what's going on? We are waiting for you and Dilan to come home."
Baran was fighting with his tears. He had this humongous lump in his throat.
"Abi? Can you hear me?"
Baran tried to talk but nothing came out. That's when an announcement was made over the intercom paging a doctor.
"Abi, what was that? Are you in a hospital? What's going on? Say something?" Cihan's voice became more agitated.
"Di..Di.. Dilan" was all Baran could get out. He was trying so hard to not let Cihan hear him cry.
"What's with Dilan? Abi, what happened to Dilan Abla? Please tell me she is okay. Please!" You could hear Cihan's desperation coming through.
"We were walking to the car... and... I don't know how... but suddenly I heard something that sounded like..." Baran Held his hand over the microphone to not let Cihan hear his quiet weeps.
"Abi like what? What did it sound like? Please talk to me!"
Baran answered with his trembling voice "it sounded like a gun shot."
"What are you saying Abi?" Cihan voice became more quiet.
"Kardeşim... Dilan..." Baran took a deep breath. "Dilan got shot!" Saying these words out loud brought that lump back in his throat.
"No, no, no, no! This can't be! Kerem said everything went well and that the both of you are fine! Dilan is fine! Please tell me that she is okay?" China begged his brother.
"I'm sorry kardeşim!" Baran couldn't hold it in anymore and started to cry.
"I'm coming to the hospital. Where are you?"
"No, please just stay at home!"
"Forget it Abi! I'll not let you alone right now!"
"What's going on?" came from the background. Baran recognize that voice right away. It was his grandma. Before Baran could say anything to Cihan he responded to his grandma.
"Nothing! I'll have to go!"
"What do you mean you have to go? It's late! Is this Baran on the phone?"
"No it's not! And it's none of your business where I have to go to!" with those words Cihan turned around grabbed his jacked and left the mansion.
"Abi send me the address. I'm coming!"
Baran didn't know what to say in that moment other than "okay". He didn't had it in him to argue back-and-forth with Cihan so he just sent him his location and hung up the phone.
He leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes.
There she was. His beautiful wife, with these gorgeous green eyes, just smiling at him with her million dollar smile. He just stayed like this for a while until he heard someone calling his name.
He opened his eyes and saw Kerem and Cihan coming towards him.
"Abi!" Cihan said while closing the distance between them. Before Baran could get up properly Cihan already hugged him, which nearly threw him off balance.
"She is going to be fine! She's a fighter like no other! And above all she wouldn't leave you."
Baran was barely able to hold it together regardless but hearing his little brother say those words just completely defeated him. He just let it all go and started to cry holding on to Cihan. "I can't lose her Cihan. I can't!"
"I know, and you won't!" He replied. Cihan was fighting with his tears. But right now he had to be the strong one, Baran need him to be there for him, even if he wouldn't admit it. "She's gonna be okay." He whispered. Kerem stepped closer to them and placed his hand on Barans shoulder to let him know he's not alone.
