"Haha no way, what if it's some weird old man?" Y/n says.

"Then you could finally get yourself a sugar daddy," Lucinda jokes.

"Lucy!" Y/n shouts, half-laughing.

"You know I'm just kiddinggg," Lucinda replies.

"Mhm." Y/n says. "But actually guys, are we really gonna do this?"

"Yes, aren't you bored Y/n?" Ruby implies.

"I mean," Y/n lets out a huff.

"See...And it's not just you Y/n, trust me. Everybody here is bored. And it's not like we're gonna get into such a big trouble just from a small prank. So you in or not?"

Y/n hesitates before answering. "Fine, but if we do get in trouble—,"

"God, Y/n, chill out, it's gonna be fine. Stop overthinking all the time and relax! And if, we were to get in trouble from this, I'll be sure Camille takes all the blame. It was her idea anyway." Erica tells Y/n.

Camille rolls her eyes. "Yeah yeah Erica, it was my idea, so what? Let's just do it already."

They had watched a TickTock video of a man texting random numbers, as Camille showed them, and were going to try it out for themselves to see how it goes.

Camille goes first. She types in random numbers on her phone and sends a "Hey mom, have you seen brother?" to them. Camille and her friends laugh, waiting for an answer. A phone dings.

Camille excitedly checks her phone but sulks.

"It's not mine," Camille says. So everybody else checks their phones. Erica raises her head and looks at everyone.

"Oh it was mine, I've got to go now," Erica blurts, glancing at her phone.

"Dude, we didn't even get a reply yet, are you sure you can't stay any longer?" Ruby frowns.

"Really? Come on, you know my parents. I doubt they would let me," Erica says, grabbing her things off the floor and shoving them in her bag.

"True, Ruby clenches her teeth and lightly sucks in her tongue, making a "Tsch" sound.

"Erica has to go?" Y/n asks.

"Yeah, sadly," Ruby nods.

"Awh bye Erica, see you later. We might as well just wait for the reply until you're with us again. Are you free tomorrow after school?" Camille questions to Erica, who's standing at the doorway now.

"Yeah, probably, I think so. I'll let you guys know," Erica says, pushing the door open and disappearing into the daylight.

"Man, does this mean we have go back to doing homework again?" Lucinda says disappointedly.
