My first summer romance ~ A Niall Horan fan fiction

Chapter 6~

I stood up slowly and pulled off my skirt and peplum, dropping them to the floor. There was tension between us, not in a bad way, as I could feel Niall watching each move I make. I reached down to the hem of his shirt, pulling it up and bringing it over his head and let it drop to the floor. His body, even though I had seen it before, took me by surprise. I rested my hands on his bare shoulders and leaned in to whisper in his hear. “You’re it” I said softly as I tapped him on the shoulder and took off.

It took him a few moments to realise what I was doing and I was only a couple metres away from the water’s edge when two hands held onto my waist. I was pulled back into an embrace and then lifted off the ground. “What are you doing?!”

“You didn’t think I was going to let you win did you?” Niall laughed and ran down into the water with me still in his arms. I felt the cold water around my body before I realised I was under it. When I resurfaced I choked up the water I had managed to swallow. “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine, next time just warn me about that” I nodded. Niall brought me close into a hug, his body somehow still warm. I could feel his body shaking as he laughed and he mumbled “I’m sorry”. Silence took over and we just stood there for a minute hugging.

“Chantel”I heard someone calling out in the distance but I could make out their voice.

“It’s Perrie” Niall whispered into my ear, “Shh”

“Chantel!” I heard her yell again.

Niall had pulled us further into the water and I couldn’t reach the bottom anymore, so I kept my arms around his next to help me float. I began thinking that we should leave. It must be late if Perrie had left the party and I could no longer hear the familiar beats of music. Everything vanished from my mind as Niall put his lips to mine. It was like fireworks had exploded in my body at the touch of his hands making their way from the back of my neck, down my bare back and onto my waist. Butterflies were everywhere in my stomach and this moment was amazing. I placed my hands on his chest and pushed him away slightly, “Maybe we should go” I said,

“Maybe we should” He smiled before kissing my forehead.

Niall raced me back to the shoreline and of course he won. He stood ankle deep in the water waiting for me, water was dripping from his hair and body. He reached out his hands helping me to my feet and we made our way back to our clothes. “I’ve had a great night” I let him know and he smiled as he we got dressed. My clothes had a few wet patches from my bra and undies and I looked to Niall, he stood with his shorts back on but he held onto his shirt in his hand. “Can you imagine when this summer is over, what if we never saw each other again?” I asked quietly, obviously ruining the moment as his smile faded from his face.

“Let’s not think about the future and let’s just think about now” He said pulling me into his arms.

“Okay” I said returning the gesture.

We were back on the pavement now, and I missed the feel of the sand under me already. It wasn’t a long walk back and we walked the whole way towards the apartment with our hands intertwined and smiles on our faces as we spoke about everything and everything.

After saying Goodnight and goodbye to Niall I entered an empty house. It was late so I don’t know why there was no one home. I turned on a few lights and noticed a little note written on it was:

Channy,

If you read this it means we are still out.

Feel free to bring some of your friends around.

Mum x

I put the note back down on the table and reached for my phone.

To Niall: Hey you!

Straight away, like always my phone buzzed.

Niall: Hey, how are you?

Me: I’m good and you?

Niall: Great! How do you feel about coming to the fun fair with us tomorrow?

Me: I’d love to.

I don’t remember much from there as I drifted off into sleep.
