I woke up with an ambition, a dream, a goal that will forever change my boring life. That ambition, that dream, that goal that I so long desired for, was going to Japan. Sure, Japan is also an escape for me before I begin teaching and studying about the wonderful futile world of Linguistics, however I will also take it as a learning experience. To learn from a country rich with culture and history that can influence its environment is a sweet treat to a nerd like me. I do not care if I woke up in the middle of the early morning trying to find my socks, my eyeglasses, and my phone. After I found them I started playing some music, prayed, went to the bathroom and got ready to go to the airport. Getting ready was tiring. I won't deny that, however, it feels accomplished when you are now standing in the middle of a busy airport carrying your luggage, a cup of coffee, and your ticket in both of your hands. I want to scream "Mom I made it!" to all of the people there, but I want to sound more like a nerd that likes linguistics than a psychopath. I chilled for a while at the benches, video chatted with my friends Alvin and Johannes, who will join me in Japan after 1 week. I needed to leave the video call though, since I need to catch my flight. The flight to Japan was nice since I got a good seat, no crying babies, no annoying people, just me chilling and eating my snacks. I slept for a good hour or two before I needed to wake up since we landed in Osaka. It was cold, and it was my first day in Japan. Japan was ahead by one hour so it was 7pm. I had not eaten dinner yet at that time so I needed to find a place to eat. I reckon to eat in the airport since I was already there but it was pricey, so I just bought a soda in the vending machine. I quickly got my luggage, checked out, and went out of the airport to go to Kyoto. Kyoto is my first stop, not Osaka yet, so I hopped in the Special Rapid Service on the JR Kyoto Line. When I went inside I was sleepy, so I was trying to find a seat in a hurry, and I could feel my eyes closing, so I did not know that I was on a collision course towards a lady. Long story short, we bumped into each other, I fell, she gave me her hand, I took it to bring me up, and when I saw her face the first thing that I said was "Lana is that you?".
