The cedars of the deep woods were shrieking in anguish, several of their brethren falling to the ground with thunderous, booming tremors.
Branches and massive fragments of bark shot through the air from their shattering trunks as their cries filled the dense atmosphere of the night.
At the head of it all, Akaza stood with his feet cemented firmly on the ground in front of the human woman. His right hand was fisted so tightly in front of him, that the force of his strength caused several bones within his fingers to snap and splinter before just as quickly fusing back together.
His piercing dual-colored eyes were widened as far as they could go, filled with an undeniable tainting of enragement he hadn't felt in a very long time. His sharp teeth were gritted tightly together behind his lips as his expression drew into a murderous snarl, creasing his face and brow vividly. The veins bulging around his face, neck, shoulders, arms and legs pulsed heavily with a sudden bloodlust and lividity his past whispered to him with borderline toxic familiarity.
The only reason he turned his head to the side for a short moment was to look upon the woman on the ground behind him. The sight of her sprawled on the forest floor, struggling to catch up with her breath, covered in blood and tightly gripping onto the gory bite wound on her arm, did things to him he didn't understand – and the feeling of absolute bloodthirst pumping aggressively through his veins only intensified when she met his gaze with her horrified, tearful (eye color) eyes.
He said nothing.
He simply allowed his eyes to linger with hers for a few seconds before facing forward again.
He didn't need to use words for her to understand – his silence spoke volumes to her.
Further ahead, amongst a carnage of bark, leaves and blood, a headless figure stood to its feet. The body of the demon _______ previously faced staggered on uneven footing, hands blindly gripping onto nearby large, thick branches to steady itself. Gradually, bone, flesh and muscles began to form atop of the mangled neck of the figure, beginning to piece together the image of normalcy the demon of the cedars currently lacked.
As soon as the demon stood itself from the wreckage, Akaza sprinted forward, the insane amount of strength behind his initial kick against the ground forcing the earth behind him to shatter. In his wake, he left a hazardous fractured crater in the forest floor just a few feet away from _______.
"Upper Three! I'm getting all kinds of interesting visits today!"
The demon eventually chortled, his mouth the first part of his head to regenerate.
"Those fists of yours sure do pack a punch! To what do I owe the honor, I wonder."
By the time the demon of the cedars had regenerated his abyssal blue eyes and the entirety of his head, however, Akaza was already silently upon him.
The only detail he was able to garner of the high-ranking demon in front of him was the drive of absolute slaughter in his numbered gaze.
The intimidating sight was quick to eradicate the grin from his face.
With blinding speed, Upper Three thrust his left hand forward, ensnaring it around his neck much the same way the demon of the cedars had done to the human woman – only his motion was fueled by an astronomical spike in both power and wrath. He measured his immense force, however, ensuring he didn't crush the demon's neck into garbled mush within his grasp just yet. Then, he wound his right fist back and threw a merciless punch into the demon's face with every ounce of strength he could muster in that one swing.
