"Richie! Are you ok?!" Eddie scrambles and lifts him lightly out of the water. He sees the wings that had pierced through Richie's skin. "Richie wake up!" Eddie yells in fear. "Richie! Please wake up!" He starts to shake him lightly. Richie's eyes flutter open. Eddie pulls him into a hug. Tears roll down his cheeks as he hugs him. "Huh? What happened Eds?" He says in a way as if he has just woken up from a long nap. Eddie pulls away from the hug but is still holding Richie upright. "you fucking got thrown into the air And you got these things!" Eddie says and he pulls Richies new wings into his view. "Ow fuck-" he said as Eddie grabbed it. It seems like they are still sensitive to touch. "Oh sorry." He let go. "But what the fuck just happened! Like I am just so scared... you have wings and AHH! you have fangs!" Eddie drops Richie and he splashes into the sewer water. "Oh sorry Richie..."
"It's fine..."
"But what is happening..." Eddie seems to be more freaked out the Richie right now. The candle slowly flickers out. "Shit-" Eddie says as it went more dark. "What do you mean? What's wrong?" Richie said a bit confused as if he didn't know how dark it got. The light fully went out. It was pitch black now. "What do you mean? The candle went out?" He looks over at Richie and his eyes widen. "your eyes... there red!"
"Huh, what do you mean? Did I get pink eye or something?"
"No dumbass! Your eyes! They glowing red!"
In the pitch-black tunnel, the only light that was shown was Richies dark, bloodshot, glowing red eyes. "Ha ha very funny. I bet these wings are fake too huh?" Richie seems to not even believe Eddie at this. He just thinks it's all a big prank. "I'm not joking Richie look!" Eddie said as he tried to grab Richies wing in the dark but he had only gotten closer to Richies face by accident. Richie didn't move he was frozen but his face was beat red. Finally, Eddie found his wing and grabbed it. Richie could feel Eddie's touch so he knew they were real. Richie attempted to flap them lightly but it caused a huge gust of wind and slammed Eddie into the tunnel wall. "Eddie! Shit are you ok!" He screamed and stood up as fast as he could to run over to him. "I'm fine..." he mumbled as he rubbed the back of his head trying to act like he was fine. "This isn't about me right now ok? Look at you, Richie! Well, I can't because I can't see, but you have wings fangs And glowing eyes!" Eddie said but Richie started to figure things out and started to finally panic. "Holy shit! What am I gonna do? What did I do?!" Richie says.
"I think you did some weird voodoo spell when you said that random junk!"
"I wasn't trying to do any of that! I was joking!" They both yell at each other not in a mean way but in a panicked way. They are so loud they don't even hear the splashing of the water coming closer to them. Eddie noticed some light shining. He looks over and not a moment later Richie does as well. It was Henry Bowers staring at them with wide eyes. "What the fuck is this? A costume party?" Bowers spoke. "Leave bowers." Richie snarled. "You are the ones who asked me to meet you here!" He raised his voice at Richie and Eddie. Bowers begins to walk closer to Richie. With the flashlight not directly pointed at Richie. Bowers could see that Richie's eyes were red. "How are you able to do that? Some sort of contacts?" Bowers spoke trying to find a normal answer for this. "No I have glasses, no need for contacts."
"I mean coloured contacts not that kind you fucking idiot!" Bowers attempts to push Richie to the ground but he doesn't move. He tried again but no success. "What the fuck?" He said as he tried to push Richie again even harder. Richie gets a bit annoyed and bored of watching him try to push him down so he attempts to push him back. Bowers fly and skid across the ground. "Oh my. did I just? Did I do that?" He asked Eddie a bit shocked because he had beer this strong before. "Yeah. I think you did." Eddie just tries to look at Bowers but the only source of light the flashlight crashes into the water and breaks. "Richie... what are you gonna do?" Eddie asks.
"I don't know spaghetti... I'm a bit scared.. what if the government finds out and tries to kidnap me?"
"Oh, I never even thought of that..." Eddie gulps. "Just hide out in your house. Your parents never go in your room anyway. I'll help you out as much as I can ok? I'll go to the library and try and find something! Anything!" Eddie says with passion. He seems to care a lot for Richie. "Thanks, Eds.. but how do I even get home like this? Like, look at these things! They're huge!" Richie says talking about his new wings. "I don't know man! We will find something out." After Eddie says this it goes quiet for a few minutes, neither of them wanting to break the silence. "Eddie.. can I ask you something?"
"Sure what is it?"
"Can you stay with me? I don't want to be alone. I'm freaking out..."
"That's fine. I'll try my best to stay with you as long as I can."
"Do you think when we get to my house you can call your mom and ask you to stay the night?"
"I can ask her if you want me to. She might say no but I hope she will say yes. I just feel really bad for you right now." Eddie chuckles a bit awkwardly. Richie sighs, he feels like his mom is gonna say no and he's gonna have to be alone through this. "I'll try Richie?" Richie nods to Eddie's words because he knows that Eddie will try his best to stay with him. "Thanks, Eddie spaghetti.." Richie has a small smile on his face. "Don't call me that! You know I hate it!" Eddie said as he pretended to act annoyed. "You are gonna fight with me even tho you just say what I went through?" He rolls his eyes. "Let's just go Eddie.. it stinks like shit down here."
"I've been waiting for you to say those words the moment we stepped in here."
"That it smells like shit?"
"No, that you want to leave!"
Richie chuckles at Eddie's reaction. "Let's just go ok?" He smiles calmly. Well as calm as he can be right now...
