Min looked up, his piercing black eyes widening in shock at what he had just done. It was over for him. Ryan took his headphones off, interested and confused about what had just happened. Ryan quickly pushed the waves back with his hands to move further forward to the silhouette he could see before him. Min shivered in fear and whimpered until he saw the young human man infront of him. They locked eyes and stared eachother up and down slowly yet in sync.
Ryan leaned in towards him, "You're.. AH!!", he instantly broke the moment by falling directly face first into the tiny gap of sea between the rock Min was lying upon and his boat.
"Rude." Min murmured.
"PLEASE!! HELP!" Ryan panicked, trying to cling onto the rock that was forcing him to slip back down.
"Oh, OH SHIT!!" He suddenly realised what was happening to Ryan and gripped onto his hand, helping him up onto the rock.
"T-thanks, man, I.."
"Look what you've just done! It's my first day, my first trial of being a real siren and you've just gone and ruined it! I can never go back and bring this amount of shame onto my family's name now you're still alive.", Min suddenly snapped."Well, I'm sorry!? I didn't exactly plan to be killed by a fucking fish man when I woke up this morning!!"
"I'M NOT A- I- ..I'm sorry, it wasn't your fault, it's mine." He looked down, clearly disappointed in himself, "I'm just a coward."
"Hey.. Don't talk about yourself like that, you're not a coward." Ryan pulled him in and wrapped his arms tight around his back. Min let out a slight sniffle as he wiped his freshly formed tears, "You don't even know me..".
"I can just tell." He smiled and pulled away, looking directly onto his eyes. The siren suddenly had a look of realisation on his face, "I know where we can go.", he grabbed tightly onto his hand.
"W-wait!! My walkman!" He put in extra effort to grab his baby before being dragged away by Min's swimming.
"Where are we going!?"
"You'll see."In a matter of a few seconds, they had arrived on a small patch of sand covered mainly in forestry, barely big enough to be classed as an island. Ryan's hazel eyes reflected in the sun as he gazed upon the golden sands with a collection of shells near the shore, each one similar but somehow unique. "It's.. Beautiful."
Min-Gi blushed slightly, "Yeah.. It's not much but I just come here sometimes, no one else knows of it and it's a nice place to just sit and think."
"Gnarly."
