The short red-head headed to the rooftop of a skyscraper building. There was already a brunette standing there, his trench coat and short brown hair whipping around in the wind.

The brunette slowly shed his trench. He turned around to place it down carefully when he saw the ginger and his stunning blue eyes.

"Chuuya?"
Dazai spoke as he stared into Chuuya's enchanting eyes. His eyes weren't full of the usual rage they held; in fact they had nothing but sorrow in them.

"What a surprise seeing you up here.." Dazai continued.

"Shut it, Dazai."
Chuuya had his face hidden under his hat now. Dazai carefully and quietly stepped closer to him and placed his hand on Chuuya's shoulder.

"Why are you here?" The brown haired boy looked down at the other one as he truly questioned his reasoning for being here.

"The same reason you're here, Dazai."

Dazai's eyes went slightly wide in a bit of surprise as he looked down at Chuuya. He had never thought that maybe Chuuya wasn't just an angry person in general. That maybe the short ginger's rage was fueled by something else, something called trauma and fear and sorrow.

"I understand everything you feel. I understand how you want to kill yourself and have always felt this way. I feel the same way as you, Osamu Dazai. I always have."

Chuuya continued speaking, his voice getting slowly sadder and sadder and quieter and quieter. He was being sincere and speaking directly from the heart. Dazai had never seen this side of him. Dazai had only ever seen the angry, agressive, side of Chuuya. The side of Chuuya that was always displayed. Dazai took his hand off Chuuya's shoulder and headed to the edge of the hundred floor building. Dazai sat down quietly and stared up at the clear night sky with the thousands of twinkling stars and then down at his shoes.

"The view is beautiful from up here.."

Chuuya stayed silent as he sat next to Dazai at the edge of the building. He silently sat next to Dazai and took Dazai's hand in his own as he curled his fingers around Dazai's palm.

"I'll be your partner. For the.. double suicide. Y'know.. the one you've had planned for as long as I can remember. You asked me to be your partner for it once not too long ago so.."

Chuuya trailed off. He was staring up at the wondrous scenery overhead: the stars, the moon, all of it. Dazai was caught a bit off guard at Chuuya's words. Dazai never expected Chuuya to actually agree to doing this with him. The two boys stood up and stared eachother in the eyes. Chuuya gently wrapped his arms around Dazai's abdomen.

The lovers were staring into eachother's eyes. Chuuya's grasp slightly and gently tightened and Dazai heard the wind pick up, and then they both didn't feel anything under their feet.

Chuuya had jumped, and took Dazai with him. They held eachother in a loving but sad embrace as they fell down a few stories every second.

"Is this the first time I've ever told you this..? I love you, Chuuya Nakahara. I always have."

Chuuya still stared at him. They were nearing the ground. Two bodies were together in a hugging embrace. Chuuya could hear Dazai's breath over the roaring wind just as Dazai could hear Chuuya's. Their pulses were in sync. Their heartbeats matched up perfectly.

"I love you too."

The two stared directly into eachother's eyes. A soft bittersweet smile formed on Chuuya's face and a single tear rolled down his face. The two had heard the words they had needed to hear from the other for so long.

"Thank you, Dazai. That's all I had ever wanted to hear from you."

Four stories of the building left.
Then three.
Then two.
Then.

Then the two aligned pulses stopped at the same time. On the same street. On the same windy, cold, night. It was almost like two more stars appeared in the sky, right next to eachother.
