It was 6pm on a Friday, I was driving Graves back to his base. The ride was silent for like an hour till I broke the awkward silence
"So Graves you said we have like one hour and a half?" I turn to look at him
"Something like that, I mean we're pretty close" he looks at the GPS on his phone
"Really? One hour and a half close?" I roll my eyes and joke
"Shut up it kinda is"
After one hour and a half they arrive at his base
"Can you order your men not to shoot or something?"
"Sure thing" he opens the car door and steps out "Don't shoot! It's an order hold your fire soldiers" Graves tells them
"Commander? I thought you died?" Soldier 1 says
"I didn't, but this woman saved me" Graves says and then I get out of the car "this woman is my childhood best friendthat ran away 10 years ago"
"Hello ma'am, thank you for saving our commander" soldier 2 says as they let them inside the base.

"Nice base you got Graves not gonna lie" I take a look around me, it actually looked cool, it was bigger and all black, guessing black was one of his favorite colors.
"Thanks, changed a few things after I claimed it though, looks better" he smiled a little
"No problem, also you got any dorms or stuff?"
"Yeah I do actually, quite a few. Why?"
"I'm thinking of staying here with you through this mission, I don't wanna keep going back at my house and coming back it takes too long" I stop and look at him.
"Yeah there's a few dorms left, but I'll give you the dorm next to mine, just to be safe" he nodded
"Thanks Graves" I pat his shoulder.
"Anything for you" he puts his arm around me "alright follow me y/n" he then backs away and starts walking to the building on my right.

Butterflies started to invade my stomach, I felt warm inside. Am i starting to like him? "No y/n shut up he's your childhood friend" I talk to myself
"You comin'?" He stops to turn around at me
"Yeah I'm coming lead the way" I walk towards him

They get into the elevator and go at level 5
"Alright we're here, so my dorm is number 74, yours will be 75 okay?" He says as he hands me my dorm key.
"Thanks, I'll go unpack" I smile at him and enter my room.
"Alright see you tonight" he smiles back

"God y/n you're so dumb, you can't like your best friend....yeah I don't like him" I talk to myself as I unpack and put my clothes in my wardrobe
"Well it's 7:30pm, I should get ready to go eat dinner" I pick a slip on dress and a robe (you pick the colors) and start undressing my current clothes replace them with the dress
"Well... I guess this should be fine for now" I put on my robe and take my keys as I head towards the door.
I meet with Graves halfway
"Oh hello y/n-" he looks at you up and down "you look beautiful tonight" he smirks
"Thank you Phil" I smile at him "So where's the dining room?"
"Just follow me" he motions you to enter the elevator "it's at level 2 so remember that" he pushes the '2' button
"Appreciate you telling me"
The elevator door opens as the smell of food hits me
"Holy it smells amazing"
"Of course it does, it's food y/n"
"Yeah yeah anyway, where we sitting Phil"
"There's a table for 2 people we'll sit there" he walks towards a table next to the window

He pulls the chair for me and I sit on it
"Well you're a gentleman"
"Of course I am" he smirks
"Uh aren't we supposed to get our own food?"
"I hired a waitress just for me so we're good" just relax, he sits on the chair in front of me

The waitress comes and takes our order then we wait for our food

"So, y/n how come you saved me?"
"I couldn't leave you to die Graves"
"Fair point"
"How come you don't hate me for leaving?"
"I don't hate you, I'm just upset you didn't tell anyone and just stormed off"
"I know I probably should've told someone"
"But hey it's ok let's just enjoy our night" he puts his hand over mine

The waitress brings our food
"Enjoy Graves" I tell him
"You too"
I clear my throat "So...you got a gf or something?"
"Nah currently single, what about you?" He looks at me with curious eyes
"I'm single as well" we make eye contact
"Well that's great"
"What do you mean?" I smirk
"Doesn't matter just- forget what I said"

After we finish our food we decided to head to our dorms, as we were in the elevator Graves asked me if I wanted to watch a movie with him, I said why not.

"We should watch Halloween" I say
"Sure I don't mind a horror movie" he opens the door and let's me in his room "Make yourself comfortable" he gets in bed and waits for me to sit beside him, that's what I do.
"Comfy bed not gonna lie"
"Yeah I know, okay y/n let's watch the movie"
"Alright"
I get in a comfortable position, but after a few minutes Graves puts his arm around my shoulders pulling me closer to him. I start to blush as I feel my body against his, my chest is burning, my face is also burning as I feel butterflies in my stomach. I start thinking to myself if I like him or not, okay maybe just a little bit....
Graves fell asleep. I was on the edge of falling asleep too, it felt... different to sleep in his arms but I decided to say fuck it. I use his arm as a pillow and I lay on my side, back turned towards him and let myself just fall asleep... Can't be that bad right?

YEAH SO I KINDA HAD TIME TO UPLOAD MORE THESE DAYS, I don't know if I'm gonna start chapter 4 today or not... But I'll see🤭🩷
