"Do you know any 'problems' with your mom? Has she mentioned anything about work or her friends?" Officer Jacobs asked. "My mom didn't have a job... Or friends except for Eric." Laina told Jacobs. "Who's Eric?" Jacobs asked. "My mom's 'boyfriend'. " Laina said. "Did he seem nice?" Jacobs went on with the questions. "I don't know. I never really met him. But from what my mom explained to me was that he was nice to her." Laina has been lying to officer Jacobs. She HAS met Eric and he is like her mom... He has meth problems just as bad, if not worse then her mom.
