I lay down on my bed, absorbing every piece of information that this book had to offer. At first, the first few pages appeared nonsensical to me, but I flicked through the pages trying to find something that may intrigue me, and finally, I came across a chapter called 'The Eye of Emberwind.' As Emberwind was also my last name, Leonardo Emberwind, I decided to read further.
The chapter talked about an eye that the enemies of Arcadia desired, referred to as 'The Darklings,' which the book described as 'elusive, shadowy creatures with glowing eyes, haunting whispers, and an insatiable hunger for the essence of power.' The book described the eye as 'The Eye of Emberwind, a colossal and bewitching orb suspended in an ethereal plane, radiates an intense luminosity, its iris a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues, pulsating with the raw and boundless essence of magical and elemental power, watching over the realms with an unwavering gaze that pierces through the veil of reality.'
In other words, the book described the Eye of Emberwind as a gigantic and enchanting eye that floated in a mystical realm, shining brightly with a colorful iris that constantly changed. This eye held immense magical and elemental energy, watching over the realms with a steady and powerful gaze that could see beyond what is ordinary.
Further into the book, it read: 'Behold, as the Eye of Emberwind, the very embodiment of magic and elemental power, bestowed its ancient and formidable energies upon Vaspera. The enchanting orb of mystical energy pulsated with an intense light, illuminating the entire chamber with a kaleidoscope of brilliant colors. Vaspera, with her arms outstretched, was consumed by the power of the Eye as the energy flowed through her, filling her with an indescribable force that coursed through her veins. She felt as if she was part of the Eye, as if its magic had become an extension of her own being.'
It was then that I realized that Vaspera got her powers from this eye. I was amazed that no one else seemed to know about this, so I decided to head to the library to speak with Flora, the librarian.
"Good morning Flora, I have a few questions that I want to discuss with you," I said.
"By all means, go ahead!" Flora replied.
"Where did Vaspera get her powers from?" I asked.
"Oh, the Eye of Emberwind," Flora answered.
"You know about the Eye of Emberwind!? I had no idea," I exclaimed.
"Of course I do! Everyone does. I thought it was basic knowledge about Vespera," Flora said.
"Okay, I must be dumb then. Anyway, what did the Eye of Emberwind look like?" I asked.
"Well, from what Vaspera and her book described, it is a huge eye that just floats somewhere, controlling all the elemental powers," Flora said.
"What book?" I asked.
"The book that the Eye of Emberwind wrote for Vaspera. When Vaspera received her powers, the Eye gave her a book containing all knowledge about the elemental powers. But this book was of no use to us as it required you to have the elemental powers, which none of us had except Vaspera. Hence, when she died, the book was buried with her," Flora explained.
"Oh! That makes sense, totally. One last question, why did Vaspera get powers?" I asked.
"Well, I don't know exactly, but she might have done something good!" Flora replied.
"Okay, no problem. I should go now, thanks for helping!" I said.
As it turned out, I felt somewhat foolish. Unsure of what to do next, my mind urged me to simply do nothing and return home, while my heart longed to delve deeper into the mysteries surrounding the eye. Ah, the timeless lesson: always follow the guidance of your heart! And so, I resolved to learn more about the eye, beginning with the book itself.
I meticulously read through each and every chapter dedicated to the eye, discovering that they all revolved around its extraordinary powers. However, not a single chapter provided any information regarding its location. I realized that I needed to gather more clues, to search for additional books, ancient scriptures, or intricate patterns that might hold the key to unraveling this enigma.
Patterns! It struck me suddenly that the tomb of Vaspera contained numerous scriptures and intricate patterns etched into its walls. It seemed only logical that I should investigate there!
