I was in middle school specifically the sixth grade when i started seriously questioning my sexuality. There was this one girl in specific that really stood out. I had this really weird feeling but i had never felt this way about someone so i though nothing of it.
Time went on and I had this growing feeling about her we would sit together at lunch sometimes and did homework together. The friggin day before pride month I told a friend close to me that I liked someone and that she was a girl. This a is how the conversation went "I like Linda(we'll call her that)" I said. My friend responded "wtf".
That was not helpful but it did come out of the blue so i kinda understood(we are not friends now for obvious reasons). After that I started feeling like part of a trend because it felt like everyone on social media was LGBTQIA+. Slowly I started to accept it and became more aware of who I actually liked and who was just a good friend.
