In the beginning, there was only land. Vast empty sheets of grass, ice, sand, and forests, no signs of residency or occupation. Nothing had formed yet, and the countries had lived in peace with their people, personal conflicts, and animals, not bothering anybody nor their neighbors. Nations were born with a phenomenon called Myths, which were special powers and skills that countries are born with based on their general beliefs, ideologies and mindset. However, to 'fully unlock' their myth, countries must find their flame. A flame was a nations inner pride, motivation, and an embodiment of their 'soul'. To this day, nobody knows what triggers a countryhuman to fully gain their flame.
All was well; countries training only for themselves and trading peacefully, but as populations grew, so had greed, as it had suddenly filled the world. The countries wanted more, more, and more. They wanted power, they wanted authority, they wanted to rule. And so, these said countries had gotten skilled at bullying, taunting, and stealing land and resources. Some had gone so far as to claim the entire country for themselves, otherwise known as colonization.

A horrifying way of saying that 'what's mine isn't yours.' Nobody liked it, but the conquerors were too blinded in their might to stop and the defenseless nations were too scared to say 'No!' or 'Stop that!'. They just let it happen. They gave up entirely. Destruction followed the path of the new trend, and it was a hot new thing to say that yesterday you had proudly stripped a young nation of its resources and minerals or took it in as a new sibling or child, even though everyone knew you just terrorized it until it gave in.

The Great 5, or Portugal, Spain, the UK (Britain, Wales, Scotland, Northern and Southern Ireland, and England, but collectively known as one), the Netherlands, and France, conquered so much land that it had gotten too disorganized and complicated to visit them individually to carry out the duties they had planned. Borders got too messy and certain countries didn't like trespassers, making it difficult to get to the designated area. And so, to battle this problem, these 5 superpowers made a pact to create housing and living space to reside all of these countries in one place. Each superpower had their own 'House' to keep things neat, and had their own set of rules and rituals so as to keep it distinct.

People called it the Global House.

Oh, what a place to be.

America wiped the sweat off his brow and climbed off of the steep ladder. He stepped back and stared at the Spanish seal, shining on top of a glass pane that was lining a huge white door.
He huffed and sniffed. "Spain, how come you get to have a kick-ass House and I don't? This is so unfair..." He looked toward Spain, giving a jealous glare.

Spain turned around from the other seal he was painting. "Because I have more colonies than you. You have like, what, one? And I have many."

America turned slightly red from anger and started having a fit. "Guam is a VERY VALID TERRITORY!!!"

"Tch, yeah right, tú cabron. You're still my resident, just remember that." He scoffed.

"Hey, maybe stop fighting for a second and come help me cut this plank." China lifted up the wooden slab high above his head, trying to place it on a sawing table. France quickly helped him set it down, and tried shooing him away to cut it herself. China, however, got angry, gave her the infamous stare, and scared her off.

The work continued. Days and nights passed as the countries were hard at work creating the houses, training areas, buildings, and whatnot. Planning ensued more for infrastructures and new ideas to add to the dorms. America and China were the leaders of all the building, having experience in mass production and supply. Although America also wanted to lead the planning, Japan took it all from there (America had a hissy fit, as usual, but sucked it up). As for the main 5 colonies? They just sat and mostly watched, except for that one argument.
