Yn Pov~

February 14th. The day I don't even know why I celebrate. It's my birthday today. Well, to be honest, I only celebrate it because I don't know when my real birthday is. It was my best friend who made me cut a cake 14 years ago when I was 5 years old, I guess. I'll be turning 19 today. I'm happy.

I've got everything I need in my life except parents. I'm an orphan, and I moved out of my orphanage last year after turning 18. I am in a good college and study there through scholarships. Yeah, scholarships because, you know, I can't afford studying without them. So you must have also understood that I'm a very bright student; that's why I got this scholarship.

It's 9 in the morning, and I just woke up. It's Sunday today, so no classes. I studied until late last night, so I woke up just now. You must be thinking that I should check my cellphone to see how many people wished me and all, but I don't do that. It's not like I'm a very introverted kind of person or anything, but I don't have many friends either.

I have 2-3 friends from the orphanage I grew up in and 2 friends in my college. Well, exclude my best friend because he isn't just my friend but my other half, my soulmate. He's my everything, my parent, my secret keeper, my crime partner, and just everything that exists.

And he is always the first one to wish me on my birthday, but it looks like not this time. Yeah, he doesn't text me, instead, he calls me always. But not this time, and I understand. He must be busy. It's Valentine's day so he must be with his girlfriend. Yeah, girlfriend because he just started dating his classmate last month. It's their first Valentine's together so I understand.

Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell you, while narrating all this, I got ready and am cooking breakfast right now. I just made some Kimchi Toast with Dalgona Coffee. I don't even know how 4 hours passed while doing normal stuff. Like watching TV, replying to the ones who wished me, washing dishes, and etc.

The clock struck 1 PM, and my doorbell rang. Someone came to visit me? Is it him? Is Yuri here too? I left the kitchen as I was preparing for lunch and went to open the door. I saw the mirror in the living room, and I was just wearing black shorts with a white t-shirt, a messy bun, and my bare face with no makeup at all. I mean, I'm at home so why makeup?

I opened the door and saw my lo- I mean my bestfriend standing there with a cake, gift box and a bouquet. Oh lavender... Lavenders are my favourite and ofcourse he knows it.

"Happy birthday!" He said excitedly.

"Thank you...!" I said with a bright smile on my face. I don't know what I was thinking. My whole focus was on the flowers when he cleared his throat and that's when I noticed he was struggling to keep holding all of the items together.

"Oh sorry... come inside." I apologised and opened the door wide for him to come before grabbing the bouquet from his hand. I didn't close the door and peeked out.

"What are you doing near the door? Come inside." He said and I frowned. I closed the door and walked towards him. I entered the loving room holding the beautiful bouquet of flowers and saw him sitting like a king on the sofa as if he owns it. Well technically yes.

It's all because of him, I'm able to live in this apartment. He helped me get job in one of his father's café. When he saw me finally there. He jumped up and came to hug me. I got startled because of his sudden gesture. The bouquet was still in my hands and he held them and put it on the table aside and finally hugged me tightly.
