when (y/n) was very young, she was deeply interested in learning the arts and culture of dancing and hence, she started dedicating her entire life to it. it was no surprise when she convinced her parents to let her go to taipei to continue pursuing her passion. "as long as you stay safe and report to us what you've been doing, it's all up to you princess." (y/n)'s parents were always approving of her chasing her dreams. a week later, she finally parted ways with them and took the plane flying to taipei. hours later, she reached, feeling rather jet-lagged.

the moment she stepped out of the airport in taipei, she was greeted by the sight of a crowd of people holding a banner that had her name on it. "oh, they must be the troupe that i signed up with!" (y/n) thought excitedly. "hii!! thank you so much for making time to fetch me. i hoped that i did not make you wait long," she greeted them politely.

"it's ok. we didn't wait very long," a woman who looked like she was in her mid-fifties stepped forward and shook her hand. "i'm the co-founder of the troupe, you can just call me master chen." despite this seemingly being very formal, (y/n) could feel motherly vibes radiating off her. "i see. thank you so much for accepting me to join you and the rest to learn all about what you do. i really appreciate it!" (y/n) beamed happily.

master chen then continued to introduce everyone else there to here, including her husband, the founder, her other two daughters and her son. while they were all making their way back to their house in a minivan, (y/n) could not help but admire how close they all were. "they seem like such a happy family... how sweet," (y/n) gushed. she kind of felt like she was third-wheeling all of them, her presence being unnecessary in that moment. even though master chen and her son, called chen kuan jui tried their best to include her in their conversations, she still had a feeling that the rest of the family did not really welcome her. chen kuan jui, however caught her attention. he seems kind of familiar..., i wonder if i've seen him before somewhere... he was quite friendly to her and even volunteered to help give her a tour around taipei whenever they had free time. "don't worry, it's for free!" he winked. when they reached, he wanted to help her carry her luggage, insisting that she was their guest and that he had to help in anyway he could.
