My Angel

"Are you over her yet?" My best friend, Lisa asked me, "No, I want to forget her but she was my everything." 

It's been three years since we broke up and I still can't get over her, she was the best girlfriend I've ever had. I still remember the day Momo and I began dating. That was the most magical day of my life, I'm so stupid for leaving her. Now I regret it so much, but she looks so happy with her new girlfriend.

"I'm ready to let her go" I texted Lisa, she replied faster than I expected, "Are you sure?", "Yes" and then she called me since she wanted to hear me say those exact words to know I wasn't lying. "Oh god.." she said, "I'm glad but are you sure you want to move on? Take a mental before getting someone new" "If", I spoke looking back at her Lisa on our face time, "If I don't find someone new soon I'll be all on her again, her girlfriend blocked me so I'm sure it's not soon before she does the same as well" I said, I and her stayed on the phone until 3 am when my phone chimed a message, my eyes light up and I smiled feeling happy, I squealed catching Lisa's attention and so she asked me, teasingly "Who got you like that" I didn't want to tell her at that moment so I lied and said "Uh Jennie sent me a message that was funny" I only said a funny message since was her girlfriend and my sister so I didn't want to make it weird and I didn't lie but that's not why I was squealing. Momo texted me, "Hey, Y/N, it's been a while, huh? Let me know when you get this, I'm sure you're sleeping right now" I feel so many emotions, I don't want to text her back too fast because then she'll realize I still like her.

It was now 9 am and I decided to text her back, "Hey, I'm up now Momo. What made you text me? It's been 3 years since we last talked." it said she read the message. Still, she didn't reply.. until it became 10 am "I know it's been 3 years but I mean, I don't want us to be on horrible terms like we broke up cause one of us was cheating and that's not what happened. You know?"  I texted her a few minutes later, "Yeah, but what did you need.?" I asked, rather coldly, and Momo replied, "I just, need to hear your voice again, can we call?" I gave in, "Ok." and we called, she sounded sad and like she was shaken by something, I asked her "Momo, are you alright?" She heard the concern and said "Yea yes i-i'm fine. Uhm, Y/N?" "Yes?" "I love you" My heat rate went up, and it felt like it was going to come out of my chest, I calmed my breathing before I finally replied, "I love you too, Momo" "Why'd you leave me.." she asked, she was holding back tears I can hear it in her voice. "I-i don't know, I was stupid at the time. But don't think about the past, You know? Think about your future with your new girlfriend" I say, nearly bitterly mentioning the girlfriend part. She noticed and said, "About that" grabbing my attention once again, "Go on" I spoke, "Sana isn't my girlfriend. She's my best friend, we just agreed to pretend to date to get the attention of her crush. Nothing more." She said, voice breaking towards the end of her sentence, "Why didn't you move on from me? I left you because I'm a selfish bitch." "No, Y/N you aren't. You were the best girlfriend I ever had. I never moved on from you because no one will ever treat me better than you did" She said, I smiled and then my chimed again, 'Lali sent you a message' Momo heard and said, "Should I go?" "I'll call you again later, okay?" "Okay, bye love" I blushed a little, "bye, I love you" "I love you more" She did a finger heart and hung up. God, I love that girl so much

I texted Lisa back, "Hey, what happened?" "BRO BRO BRO FINALLY OMG" "What happened? Is everything okay?" "YES BUT I FOUND SOMETHING ABOUT MOMO AND HER GIRLFRIEND" "What did you find out?" "They're not together, and Sana, Momo's girlfriend, is just her friend" "Oh, I know. I just called Momo" "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" "Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..."

"so.. y'all are. like together again?" my friend Jihyo spoke once she read over me and Momo's messages, "I think,  but I don't want to assume." "L/N Y/N, I've known Momo for over 10 years, I know when she likes someone, she likes you a lot" Sana spoke, scaring me, I didn't expect her to be at this exact cafe right now. "o-oh hey Sana," I say as I looked to the ground, "Y/N it's fine. I'm not like a teacher or anything haha" She spoke and smiled, she's so pretty and has a beautiful smile. "O-oh, right hehe. Uhm, but why did you say she liked me?" "Because, she does, very much. She was telling me while she was on the phone with you. " "Mhm!" Jihyo said as she nodded along with what Sana said, implying they were in a group chat conversation while I and Momo were on the phone. "Gee, now I don't know what to say" I spoke, slightly blushing, Sana then teased a bit, "Oooh someone's crushing hard haha! Should I send Momo a picture? " she asked while waving her phone with a photo of me blushing, 'Uhm no? how about we not do that heh"

The next day, I woke up and realized I never hung up with Momo, we slept on call, her little snores are so cute, I get up and head to take a shower, and while I was in my closet grabbing my clothes I heard Momo. "Y/N, you there?" "yes, I am" she sighed in relief, "I thought you hung up hah, I'm gonna go shower, ok babe?" "Okay, I was getting ready to do the same thing" "Oh haha, we think alike, also I was thinking if we could meet up today?" "Sure honey, where would you like to meet?" "At the park, the one when I first confessed to you" "Okay, we can meet there" "I'll text you when I'm out of the shower, I love you" "I love you more, sweetheart"

Later on, once we make it to the park, we trailed down the usual path and held hands. "Momo, I love you so much." I spoke and we stopped walking, she looked at me and said "I love you so much more, Y/N" We then shared a sweet kiss, she held my waist, and her lips felt so soft against my own. We broke apart to get air, "I've waited so long to do that", she said and smiled at me, connecting our foreheads together. My heart was rushing, she made me feel so happy in that moment, god thank you for reuniting us. "I'll never forget you Y/N" Momo spoke, I looked at her, "What do you mean" "I'll be going overseas, back to Japan for a family vacation" Take me with you, I can buy my own ticket I can get my own ride I-" Momo kissed me to hush me up, "Baby, it's only for a few weeks, I can leave for Japan for a few weeks, right darling?" "Y-yes" "Mhm, let's just enjoy today, I'll call you every day I'm out there, I promise you." "Okay, love" 

Once we made it back to my house, we cuddled on the couch and watched T.V

"I'm sleepy", Momo said, in a whisper, I can tell she was tired, these last few days have been draining for everyone. "Go to sleep angel, I'm right here" She nodded and fell asleep in my arms, with a smile on her face. I finally found my one, she's my perfect angel, I love her so much.

She's my everything, my entire world evolves around her, my head is always thinking about her, and there's never a moment of quality time I'd let go to waste when I get to spend with Hirai Momo, my loving girlfriend, and the love of my life..
