MALTHAEL

Pandemonium Fortress

4th Level - Heart of the Pandemonium Fortress

"My Servants. It is nice to see you all." Malthael greeted as he looked over his 5 Servants. Each of them were in a kneeling position before him, and as he silently gazed over his creations, an aura of wisdom of confidence oozed from his body.

Externally at least, internally it was more like this:

'Shit what do I do? I prepared a speech and I can't even remember how it started! Shit can they see how nervous I am?'

(He doesn't have a face, so it's not like they can see his facial features.)

Finally, Malthael let loose a sigh of air, before speaking. His chilly, ominous voice echoed softly throughout the room.

"I am certain that each of you are curious as to the reason for my summoning you 5." As he finished his sentence, he allowed his eyes to flicker over each of his servants. Taking a deep breath, he continued, "It has come to my attention. That we are no longer in YGGDRASIL"

In an unnerving synchronism, each pair of eyes belonging to his servants, with the exception of Vinleil, widened, but each remained silent. "I know not what Magic has brought us here, nor who is responsible. In all honesty, I am unsure how this is even possible. Certain Magic's of mine are no longer functioning, and I cannot say with any level of certainty the state of this world. Outside of the state of our surroundings, which seems to be a barren wasteland, likely the site of a vicious battle in ages past" Again, he waited a few moments, allowing his words to sink into each of his servants, until he continued like before. "However, we are not alone in this world. Shortly after our arrival here, I was contacted by the Guildmaster of Ainz Ooal Gown, Momonga."

The name of Momonga caused his servants to flinch, in what he did not know, but he resolved to find out.

"I did not speak, nor reveal my identity to him. So we currently have an advantage which I would prefer to keep. However, given my knowledge of Momonga, and his actions, I am worried about how he will conduct himself in this new world."

Vinleil tilted her head at this, and asked, "What causes this worry? My Lord?"

"During my many years in YGGDRASIL, I never confronted Momonga, nor did I ever see him personally. However, I am familiar with a few members of his Guild, and I can say that they are a powerful force. But that is not what causes my concern, it is their reputation that does this. For you see, in YGGDRASIL, Ainz Ooal Gown, was infamous for being a Guild of evil and of destruction. If these actions continue into this world, I fear that Momonga will act... heartlessly towards any citizens of this world."

Azethial bashed his fists together, a grin on his face, "Then why don't we just go and attack them? Kill the Guild while they're still confused and before they realize who we are!" Malthael immediately shook his head. "Typically, I would give your proposition more thought War. However, I do not know the location of Ainz Ooal Gown, nor how many members are currently present. So attacking right now would be foolish. Additionally, I do not know if there is anyone else in this world of ours. If there isn't, then killing the only other sentient life forms would be the height of stupidity. So No. We do not attack until we know how powerful Ainz Ooal Gown is, if there is any life beyond us and them and then the state of that said life." Azethial grumbled at Malthael's words, but remained silent, with Vinleil and Filzon both nodding in agreement.
