Like an earthquake, I didn't see this coming.
I saw the signs, but I ignored them thinking that this would just be another stupid drill.
But you snuck up on me, tearing the earth beneath my feet. Taking away what was the only thing holding me up.
I thought this was the kind of thing that only happened to others. The kind of thing that shows up on tv and you think "damn, lucky it wasn't me" I only wish this was tv. I'd change the channel in a heartbeat, get away from this awful storm we had created.
