Jungkook squinted when the rays of the sun hit his bare face the minute he walked out of the store, bags full of supplies gripped in either hand. They rarely enjoyed days off like these and Jimin had decided to have lunch together at home, sheltered under their own roof where they wouldn't have to worry about attracting camera lenses or eyes of fans.

However, they hadn't stocked up much since they rarely had days like these which is why a trip to the store became a compulsion.

No biggie, right?

And that's exactly how the two lovers ended up at their current destination.

Jungkook caught sight of Jimin standing a few feet away from him and noticed that the older seemed to be engaged in a conversation with someone else. He noted the way Jimin's eyes crinkled up into little crescent moons and the way his body bent backwards as he laughed hard at something the other man seemed to say.

Jungkook's eyes trailed over the other man, noting the prominent abs and muscles outlined by his gym wear. As he closed up the distance between them, he transferred the bags to one hand and with the other he held Jimin's waist.

Call him possessive, but Jimin was his and he'd let this whoever-this-man-was know exactly that.

"Is this the lucky man after me?" asked the stranger and Jungkook could feel his brows furrow slightly in displeasure.

What did he even mean by 'after me?'

Jimin laughed, "Jungkook, this is Jackson. Jackson, this is Jungkook. He is my boyfriend, the one I told you about minutes ago."

"Pleasure to meet you, man."

With that Jackson extended a hand towards Jungkook and the younger shook it.

"The pleasure is all mine."

As if, Jungkook huffed inwardly.

"Well, you guys carry on then. I'mma head to the gym. Was nice meeting you, Minnie. We should certainly meet up sometime, you know, somewhere better than a car park."

Hold up . . . Minnie? Jungkook's eye twitched.

"Tell me about it. We definitely should. And the gym, huh? I don't really think you require it. Your muscles are literally popping through the fabric of your clothes."

Jackson laughed heartily.

"That's my goal. To keep it that way and draw your eyes to them."

"Sure, whatever. See you around, flirt," said Jimin with a chuckle and took a few bags from Jungkook's hand as Jackson waved goodbye.

Jungkook blinked.

What the fuck was that?

"Uh, so who exactly is Jackson? I mean, how do you know him?" Jungkook asked after he slid into the passenger's seat and strapped his seatbelt on.

"Oh, Jackson? We go way back. We were high school sweethearts. Of course, then BTS happened and we parted ways but we've stayed in contact and the last I'd seen him I think was christmas. Last year. We met up and had a couple of drinks," Jimin explained as he drove out of the car park.

Maybe if he'd been attentive to Jungkook, he'd have noticed the shift in the other's expression.

"I see. That's nice," Jungkook replied, voice steady although the gears in his brain shifted, throwing him into the realm of overthinking.

For the rest of the day, question after question tugged at the cords in his brain.

Did Jimin still have feelings for Jackson?
