part 2

Pov Aimee

I feel my phone and apple watch vibrate. Letting me know I have received a message. I click on the powerbutton and see Rose has sended me a picture. I will have a look at it after the race. I give my phone to Lando. It's my way of letting him know I am ready. Next year, our little ritual will change because Lando will be racing then. I am trying to stay focused during the race, but it's really difficult for me with adhd. Luckily, my medication helps me a lot. I see Lando is doing something on my phone, but I just let him be. I trust him. The formation lap starts, and within 2 minutes later, it's lights out and away we go. I take tons of pictures from the start all the way to the end of the race.

Almost 2 hours later, the race is finished, and the podium is done. I am walking to the mediapen with Lando. He has tons of interviews because lots of people want to speak with him. Since I am his pr, I need to make sure he behaves himself. Almost an hour later, we are almost done, just 1 interview left, with olav mol and Jack plooij from ziggo. They wanted me to join, and in the end, we did a nice interview about racing, the future, and our friendship. We are now on our way to get our bags from my dad's office where we left them this morning before Lando went to carlin. We get our bags and say goodbye to the team. We go through the swipegates. We go to our rental car, hop in, and are on our way back to the hotel.

Pov Lando

Aimee and I leave the track and are on our way to our hotel room. We share one almost every weekend, and we love it. We are both scared of the dark, so we help each other. We are best friends, and sharing things is nothing wrierd for us. After a car ride for around 20 minutes, we finally arrived. I always have to keep an eye on Aimee during car rides because of her car sickness. Luckily, she uses medication for long rides, which helps her enjoy rides more. We go to our room and change into our chillclothes. We decided to go to Mcdonald. Knowing we are not able to do this a lot next year. We go into the mcdrive and order. Aimee gets big French fries, 20 nuggets and a frappichino, and I get a big mac and a Fanta since we share the fries, and I am sure I will get some nuggets too. We eat our food in the car  while talking about everything. "Aimee, would you like to spend Christmas and New Year with me? Maybe we can spend it both with mine and your family?" "I love spending it with you, lan. I was thinking about a sleepover during the break at mine?" " I like that idea. How about the 5th of December?" "That's fine by me. How about a multiple day sleepover?" " definitely a good idea."

Around half an hour later, we decided to go back to our hotelroom. We arrive and jump on our bed and get comfortable. We decided to watch our serie on Netflix. I get us both our waterbottle with water to drink during the episodes. An hour later it's really quiet next to me. I look to her and see she is peacefully asleep. She has her head on my chest and is snuggled into my side. It's adorable but I have to wake her up because we need to brush our teeth and get ready for bed. "Aimee, love, wakeup." I say while stroking her cheek and giving her small kisses all over her face.

Pov Aimee

I wake up with Lando giving me small kisses all over my face and saying sweet things. I smile. We get up and go to the bathroom to brush our teeth. I brush my hair and do my skincare in our room and chance into a pair of lando's joggers and one of his shirts while he showers and put on his pj's in the bathroom. I dim the lights and put both our phones in the charger. Lando comes out of the bathroom and climbs onto the bed. He opens his arms and I climb into them. He puts the covers  over both of us and I snuggle into his side. I rest my head on his chest. I can feel his chest rise and fall. I am falling asleep while listening to his heartbeat. I feel a bit sick at the moment but that is something to deal with later.
