"Hey you still in there?"

"No." I replied sarcastically.

"Well, if you are, we need to head back to the cabin." He explained. "We need to do some research to see where it is heading so we can meet it there."

"Alright." I was used to these long drives by now, but this one was still a three day drive. It meant I could sing along to the music on the radio and eat some turkey sandwiches. My stomach grumbled at that thought. At the moment though, I wanted to sleep some more. I rested my head against the window once more and watched the countryside roll by. We passed a field filled with cows grazing. My eyes became heavy, and I let out a yawn.

"You gonna go back to sleep, Sky?"

"Mmhhhmm." I murmured.

"I'll wake you for a rest stop in a few hours." He paused, I heard him scratch his head. "Sleep well."

"M'kay." My eyes shut, and I began to fall asleep. I went into a sort of half sleep, and dreamt about the previous encounter with the Nightmare. Maybe this time we could take it out for good, and possibly give up this life. We drove over a pothole. I was snapped from my dream. "Agh!" I shouted. The car swerved several yards to the left.

"Jesus! Don't do that!"

"Sorry, Jackson."

"That scared the shit out of me!"

"Then avoided potholes." I retorted. After a moment of him glaring in silence at the road and my head throbbing painfully, I said, "I'm going back to sleep."

"Alright, you do that. And try to avoid screaming when ever possible."

"M'kay."

I nodded off into a sleep filled with the rumbling of the engine, the static of the radio, screeching of cars, and the occasional chirp of a horn.
