"What makes you think you're so special? Just because you have more money? Well, look where that got you. Six feet under. No one will even remember you."

—-------
With a shout Rain dropped the box he had been holding. There was a faint figure looking at him from a distance. A woman with black greasy hair covering her face. A shudder ran up Rain's spine as he picked up the box once more, doing his best to ignore the ghost as he made his way out to the car. The ghost kept her dark eyes trained on the boy as he walked, threatening to make her way over to him. The look he gave her, pleading, begging for her to disappear seemed to work as she turned away. Sometimes, the ghosts would listen to his silent pleas.

"Rain dear, is everything okay?" He heard his mother call from the front door of the home.

"It's alright! I just tripped and dropped the box!" He called back, turning to look between the ghost and his mother. The ghost vanished and he was able to breathe a sigh of relief. A little white lie. His mother didn't need to know that her son was seeing ghosts again. Years ago he let it slip that there was a ghost hiding in his closet and his parents freaked out so much they ended up moving countries to see a specialist.

The ghost wasn't even a dangerous one. It had been a little girl who just desperately wanted a friend. At the time, Rain hadn't even noticed she was a ghost. He was young, and she was the first ghost he had ever seen. They played together all the time, he would even talk about her to his friends at school. If he really thought about it, she had been his first crush. He had only noticed something was different about her when one of his school friends was over and he couldn't see the little girl at all.

The friend never came back over, claiming that Rain was a scary boy who liked to lie and play pranks. It was an all around upsetting situation that made little Rain feel awful. The little girl did her best to try and cheer him up, but the damage had already been done. Rain was losing friends left and right at school. No one wanted to be associated with the crazy boy who saw things. Because of this he finally told his parents about the ghost. The next thing he knew, he was in a new country, making new friends, and trying his best to keep his parents happy.

Rain figured out quickly to just keep his mouth shut. To pretend that he couldn't see them anymore. He did his best to live a normal life in South Korea so that his parents wouldn't worry over him anymore. He adjusted well enough to the move. Soon it was like the whole ghost thing hadn't even happened. For a moment he had forgotten the entire reason why they had moved in the first place. They were a normal family who had moved to Korea for a completely normal reason.

Now they were going back to Thailand. Once again Rain would be uprooted, forced to say goodbye to everything he knew and loved. He was upset obviously, but he was also hoping that moving would provide him with a way to escape from the microscope that his parents kept him under. Maybe being back in Thailand they would finally give him some freedom again. They trusted him, as long as he never mentioned any of the ghosts he could see. He had to pretend to always be okay.

He hadn't made many friends while in Korea. He was a nice kid that many people flocked to, but being from money, it was easy to see most people just enjoyed being spent on. He was popular in school, with many acquaintances. That's all they were though. People who were nice to him just to get his money. Very few people actually wanted to get to know Rain for more than he was worth.

Even though this was the case, it was still hard for him to want to leave Korea. This country had been his home for 14 years. He had been raised by this country. He spoke the language fluently, and even though he continued to use Thai while at home, the language felt foreign on his tongue now. Once again he would have to try to make friends. Once again he would have to put his guard up, make sure that the people around him didn't just want to be his friend for the possibility of getting money. The thought alone made him tired.
