"Master splinter I'm tired please just for once can I just be my age". Leo says as he looks toward the dojo floor.
"My son you are a leader for a reason you can not just give up to act your age and do as you please". The overgrown rat says as he stares down at the quivering blue masked turtle.
"Do you even hear yourself, MY AGE I-i can't act my age because what? You can't handle all your fucking responsibilities yourself" Leo's quivering form only gets worse, his whole body starts to shake as he looks up to see his father's anger.
"Do not speak to me that way you fucking brat" Master splinters says with deathly calmness behind his voice as he struck his son with his staff.
So much impact caused Leo to fall to the dojo floor and create blood across Splinters wooden staff and Leo's cheek.
Leo quickly faced his father and they stared in one another's eyes in shock.
Splinter only saw pain within his sons face and he was the one to cause it.
Splinter kneels toward his son "oh my sweet child I am so sorry my little angel I didn't mean to hurt you". Splinters lips quiver as he watches his child flinch back until he cornered himself while on the dojo floor.
"Oh my baby I'm so sorry please come here" Splinter slowly crawled toward his son but only scared Leo more.
"No-no back up back up" Leo panics out as he scratched the skin on his face to only make the wound his father created fester.
"No-no my sweet little angel we don't do that ok, baby put your hands down we don't hurt ourselves ok sweetheart?" Splinter ask as he positions himself to sit where his son could see him.
"B-but you hurt me mr.splinter". Leo says as he plays with a tiny pebble he found in the corner of the dojo room.
"I know honey but I was sooooo wrong I shouldn't have done that, that was very bad of me huh?" Splinter ask as he shed a tear when Leo fidgeted with the pebble as he did when he was a child.
"Ok can I leave now sir" Leo's ask as he continued to fidget with the small pebble between his fingers.
" of course my child you don't have to ask and you don't have to call me mister or sir honey, I'm sorry I scared you".
"Mhmmm ok" Leo's responds as he slowly got up and watched Splinters sitting position and quickly left the dojo room as if he was being chased down. Leo's body shook and his face trembled as his eyes watered more.
Splinter could never forget that he made his son react that way.
