"Falling rain takes time to fall."
-Anonymous (2013)Of course.
Everything takes time to fall, whether it is metaphorical or not. Such as the fall of an empire. You could say it did 'fall'. However, as metaphorically as you may have intended the word to be, there is always some sort of literal premonition. Keeping up with the empire example, the empire did indeed fall. Buildings fell, blood fell, it's people fell; the empire had fallen.
So the previously metaphorical word 'fallen', has literally become fallen.
Everything would continue if something falls; everything is constantly moving forward despite the others that fall behind. Of course, there is always a chance for those who have fallen to rise up again, unless you are deceased.
If you are deceased, you've done a wonderful job of rising up again! Congratulations on your efforts and hopefully, you strive towards a greater future for yourselves! However, you being dead, means that you are: truly dead and have been resurrected, are under the influence of alcohol/drugs, or you are lying to yourself for truly believing you are dead.
There are multiple ways to resurrect the dead, although mostly all of them are propaganda, wanting only to rile up the grief and sorrow of the departed. It's a vicious thing to raise the dead, and it's quite cruel too. To think that something out there would deny the ancient and spiritual right to rest after death.
I would go on but,
it's time for the parade!
