Surprisingly, the weather was fine after it rained yesterday. While the breeze was still cooler than Los Angeles' atmosphere, the sun did help keep us warm.

It was around half past one when we headed to the beach. Keith and Sally decided they wouldn't come as they had to assemble the beds in all the cabin's three rooms. It wasn't fully furnished yet and they wanted the place to be neat before we go back to the city which would be in the evening.

When we arrived at the beach, there were only about ten to fifteen people swimming by the ocean and sunbathing on the sand. Its lack of tourist made me appreciate the scenery better.  Hollie announced, "Someone better take a photo of me on those rock formations o'er there!"

"Thank God it doesn't look like it's gonna rain today," Gray remarked as he helped Phil carry out the icebox. "This beach looks amazing!"

Todd undid the straps that were securing his surfboard on the roof rack and went on to carry it as he walked beside me. He said, "The waves are perfect since it just rained yesterday."

When we finally found a perfect spot for our things, the others immediately stripped to their swimsuits and swimming trunks and ran towards the shore. Wanting to vast in my surroundings, I sat on the sand as Todd beside me erected his surfboard in the sand and slowly peeled his shirt off.

From the first time we met, he seemed bulkier now. He had just joined his school's basketball team this year so it must be from all the training that made him a little meatier. "I learned that from you," He teased.

I rolled my eyes. "You totally knew I was looking, huh?" I questioned him and he just chuckled. "Why are you always teasing me?"

He laid his shirt beside me on the sand and sat as he watched the others play in the water. "It's because you're adorable whenever you blush and roll your eyes," He replied with a cheeky grin. "I don't think you even know how red your face becomes whenever I tease you. You look like a grumpy puppy trying to be the alpha."

I scoffed as I glared daggers at him. I said, "You talk as if I'm twenty years older than you, what the hell? Don't I have the right to blush?"

"I'm sorry, grandpa." Todd poked my sides as he stifled a chuckle and patted my shoulder. His eyes studied my face down to my legs and I quirked my brows. He then said "You're a little too overdressed, Tony. You should take that off."

I tsked as a smirk formed in my mouth. "Shut up, you're just into me and you wanna see the goods," I said but complied to taking my shirt off anyway. The cool wind felt nice as it brushed against my body.

"I don't see anything wrong with that," He said as he ran his hand through his hair that seemed a little thicker due to the humidity. "When I was in fifth grade, I used to have a huge crush on this girl, her name's Justine. I told her I like her but she just laughed at my face."

Todd shrugged and continued, "It was embarrassing, but at least I told her.  Better say it than bottle it up." As he played with the sand, he had a sly smile on his face. He asked, "If I tell you I like you, are you gonna laugh at my face too?"

My eyes met his and I shook my head as I sent him a small smile. "Can you teach me how to surf?" I asked, avoiding to answer his question. I didn't know what to tell him yet. I still wasn't sure. "I've been wanting to learn how to surf for quite a while now."

Todd cleared his throat and laughed awkwardly. He said, "Of course, it's really not that hard." He then got up to get his surfboard. He searched for his prescription goggles in his bag and replaced his glasses with it before we made our way to the shore. As we walked, he pointed out a spot that was just by the shore near to our friends. "Balance is key."
